The multi-platform game sold 3 million copies. You know what that means?

More Shaun White Snowboarding. Just listen to Ubisoft honcho Yves Guillemot, "You can expect more Shaun White in the future." Don't get excited, it's a given. There will be more. Yay?

As website GameSpot points out, Ubisoft has not yet slated a Shaun White sequel for its current fiscal year, which runs through March 31, 2010.

<![CDATA[New Shaun White Snowboarding Trailer Talks Open Worlds]]>
There's one thing that's really appealing about Shaun White Snowboarding and that is the second you pick it up and pop it in the disc tray, you'll have the whole place open to yourself. That's right, go nuts because the developers over at Ubisoft Montreal are claiming that there's more than twenty square kilometers of open mountain to ride on. There definitely won't be a shortage of fresh powder.

<![CDATA[Shaun White Snowboarding Wii Screens Take You On A Road Trip]]>

These screens from the Balance Board compatible Nintendo Wii version of Shaun White Snowboarding (that's SWS: Road Trip) show off a few of the characters and locations to be found on Shaun's virtual 'cold places only' trek around the globe.

Among the cold places pictured are Chile, Switzerland, Aspen and (I assume - there are dragons and fireworks) China.

The game is controlled with a combination of the balance board and Wiimote - something that I still maintain will result in someone getting carried away and trying to hotdog the board for real.

<![CDATA[Target's Special Edition Shaun White Snowboarding Pimps Target]]> Target has long been a sponsor of snowboarder Shaun White, so it only makes sense that the retailer get a very special edition of his upcoming snowboarding title just for them. Much more than a normal SE, Target's Shaun White Snowboarding contains new characters, exclusive scenes, and an entire mountain dedicated to the store, complete with virtual version of the Target Chalet, where Shaun and other Target brand athletes chill between sessions.

“Shaun has been riding for Target for nearly seven years, so this exclusive version of Shaun White Snowboarding was a natural fit for our relationship with him,” said Troy Michels, Target Lifestyle Marketing. “It’s great to see the Target brand brought to life alongside Shaun in the game and we’re confident that Target guests and gamers will be eager to see what has come from our collaboration in the Target edition of Shaun White Snowboarding.”

Lovely! I see no problem with this whatsoever. In fact, I would probably be more up to buying Splinter Cell: Conviction if they place an entire level inside a McDonald's Playland. "There were plastic balls everywhere and blood...so much blood." The very notion fills me with such glee. Glee!
