    My friend was asking me the other day why he was all of a sudden gettting 10-20 text messages a day that are spam. he's had his iphone for 2 weeks and has Vampires Live and iMobsters. It could be a coincidence, but it seems like they may have sold his number.

    Thanks for the info Kotaku, as I will be watching this very closely (pulls out magnifying glass) #iphone

    @MechaTama31: Well, even Elysium wasn't exactly great. It was heaven in comparison to poetic tortures for all time, or the middle ground of complete boredom, but at best it was shadowy ashey pantomimes of the better parts of your life. Consistent with most mythologies at the time of what you could at most hope for by being a good person (ie not rewards, just no punishments). #iphone

    Maybe they used some virus/illegal software as the basis for their software as they were so poor at programming it themselves?

    Yeah, I'm genuinely surprised that Msoft is allowing this! The only other instance of this I've ever heard of was the Tribes: Aerial Assault dedicated server program released by Inevitable.

    Why wouldnt they... MSFT provides NO servers for their service ... it is all hosted by the host. So this is no different, only it might be a bit smoother in latency.

    @EnigmaNemesis: Actually, MS does provide LIVE Servers (for sale) for hosted games... very expensive servers ;) They don't run a Gamespy style-hosted servers (Gamespy {reads: IGN} hosts most of Wii and PSN games).
    This intrigues me if MS is actually letting people host on their own hardware from a consumer-grade platform. If so, the future for Indie games on LIVE could be exciting.

    wait what? they expect you to buy you're own servers? I'm trying not to bash here but i recall that MAG has it's own dedicated servers for free. BTW i do understand that you may already own a usable computer. still a hassle though.

    @notijkabob: Read the article again lol, the game will have its own dedicated servers but the devs are releasing server software so you can host your own if you want, with the added benefit of doubling the player cap.
