This is why nobody buys a psp! every game that is worth looking at for the PSP eventually comes to the ps2, why buy a psp when you can get the games worth having if you wait a few months.
What the hell are Sony doing? Sure, the PS2 was a phenomenal console, literally one of the best. But by keeping it on life support, they're taking some of the limelight out of the path of the PS3. Which, incidently really needs it at the moment.
Scrap it on PS2, release it as a PSN title for PS3. Makes so much more sense.
@Zaii: It's all about the big (as in global) picture. Sony believe that the PS2 may still have a future ahead of it as an ultra-low-cost console with a vast existing library of cheap and high quality games. This makes it something that they could potentially offer to developing videogaming markets such as India and China, which are exactly the sorts of "coming soon" mega-markets that they would love to see developing a fondness for Sony gaming hardware. Sell them PS2 today, sell them PS3 in ten years (when the rest of us have bought the PS4).
@soyerzzz: PSP still has the game there, buddy. And I think HMV sells it for under 30 bucks by this point. I think it's fair to say that anyone who was going to buy it has bought it.

Hell, I'm gonna bust out my POG collection. I guess that'll regain popularity too.
