Your going to pass through Mississippi but you can't visit Alabama. Really? We have beaches! Ok, a beach. I mean Alabama isn't exactly vacation destination numero uno, but it's not all bad. Still not interested? What if we throw in some corn?
How is it that you will be going through Louisianna, Mississippi, Florida and Georgia.... without passing through Alabama? I mean come on....if you can take Mississippi... you can take Alabama too! Whenever they release some type of national ranking or statistic that reflects poorly upon the extreme south... we have a saying here in Alabama.... "At least we did better than Mississippi!"
I live in Mobile... I bet you'll be coming through here. Probably take the I-10 bayway to cross Mobile Bay. Here's a tip for ya.... don't drive in the left lan unless you are actually passing a vehicle. People don't play on that bridge.
Me and my three buddies are flying out to Anaheim and heading to Blizzcon. This will be the nerdiest thing I have ever done in my life, and probably the most fun.
@Kobun: I'm wondering if he'll make a stop in BR. If he's coming from Texas it must be on 10...so I would imagine there'd be a stop here of some sort. I sure would like to meet Crecente. Schwag would be sweet too.
If you have to stop here for a meal and feel you have some hour or so for it, I recommend BJ's by the Mall of Louisiana. That place is freakin' amazing, and it has a little something for everyone.
@Mardoch: I'm sure BJ's is nice and all, but I'd hate to think someone would make the trek to Louisiana to only dine at a chain restaurant. Baton Rouge is only about an hour from New Orleans, so it's not as though it's a necessary pit stop.
No disrespect to Baton Rouge intended now. :p He does have kids, so maybe he'd be interested in taking them to Blue Bayou, but I gotta imagine other places throughout the West have numerous pools and water slides as well. I'd be interested in seeing his itinerary, but then that'd kinda defeat the purpose of the contest. :^)
What would be REALLY cool is if Crecente took a picture with every Kotakuian that recognized him...and then posted them here. (If the user was cool with it)
you wouldn't happen to be driving through Chicago, would you? that's probably the only way i'd see you. how ironic would it be to totally miss you at PAX last year, only to spot you driving on I-90 instead.
speaking of PAX, my summer trip involves driving cross country to Seattle this year for the fesitivies. pray for my sanity.
Taking the wife and kids on vacation next week. San Antonio, Big Bend State Park, and on to the Dunes in New Mexico. I tried to get Fremen outfits for my kids when we are in the dunes, but my wife nixed the whole idea when I presented her with her sand worm outfit. "Since when do sand worms wear g-strings and garter belts" was all she had to say.
@Psychopathic Assassin: Fiesta Texas, The Riverwalk, the Zoo and the Children's museum. All for the kids really. My portion of the trip in Big Bend. Camping and fishing for 3 days. I can't wait.
@Nick Mangiaracina: Comments like this make me wonder if there's going to be a rash of random people in each state being approached by strangers yelling: "HEY CRECENTE!!!"

Unless you take a very, very wrong turn and end up on the French Riviera, I won't be able to spot you, but I hope you and yours have a great time.
This summer... well, like every summer since 2003, no plans whatsoever.
Shit, I can't believe it's been 6 years since my last proper vacation (I'm sorry, parental units, but Christmas at your house is not a vacation...).
I'm seriously dying inside. Need... travel... foreign... country...
