    @Orionsaint: One look at that blue screen with the ingredients tells you all you need to know. The shots actually from Monkey Island are added by the Daily-Show-esque program that brought attention to the "official" report.

    I just started replaying MI yesterday (bought the SE) and god... this is just hilarious XD. How can this be true... honestly... i mean i'm pretty sure... don't hold me on this... but the recipe for Grog would kill or seriously hurt anyone who made the concoction and drank it. So why is none of the people involved noting that?

    Actually, Escape from Monkey Island, released 2000, did /not/ use SCUMM anymore. It used, like Grim Fandango, the GrimE engine, with LUA as the scripting language.

    @WhiteMage: That's probably debatable. I remember a quote from the mother in the article saying that he was "a smart boy," but no smart boy thinks drinking gasoline to be like Optimus Prime is a great idea. Energon maybe, but not regular unleaded.

    Besides, have you EVER seen a news story where the victim "probably deserved it/was an idiot/nobody really liked them?" Besides this one anyway.

    ...still not able to get past the fact that the new version doesn't seem to have any of the charm of the old one, and that the characters look like they're ice skating when they're walking through the scenery.


    ...neverthless, this is good news. I just hope the new version has the voice option intact, so I can play and listen to it well.
