#10 is exactly what I wanted. Call me a vain gamer girl but seriously I like my Sheppard looking snazzy all the time and the pink armor from the last game on Wrex nearly made me vomit.
@holidays! cat: I know *exactly* what you mean. I absolutely hated that armor, especially how it would clash with his head-flame-plate-chitin thing. Especially the fact that some of the armors just looked plain weird. Looks like they're heading toward stylish and visceral, which I love as an art direction.
@holidays! cat: Changing his armor to look how you want makes me incredibly happy as well.
There are multiple times that I've refused to upgrade armor 'cause I didn't like the colors.
Thankfully, most of the upper tier armor was okay enough to look at, but personalization from the get-go looks nice.
Only thing I would ask is that I can later change the look of my armor again, like some sort of option on the Normandy or something of that nature. I get picky, and change my characters clothes frequently, if I have the option.
Seriously, ask my friends about my Live Avatar. All the time. Drives 'em bonkers.
@holidays! cat: I hope I am wrong, but I seem to remember reading in this months Gameinformer that you can only customize Shepard, not the other characters.
@plasticmouse: Huh? You mean I didn't have to buy a 360? (one of the reasons I bought it was because I wanted to play THIS GAME...) I thought there weren't going to be any more Gears of Wars and Mass Effects for the PC... ?
@mariospants: Yep it's on the PC too. Still, on the bright side now you can choose the best version. Also you can now play 360 games so it's not all bad!
@plasticmouse: Except for the fact that people like mariospants and I who bought the first on the 360 thinking it would be an exclusive, would not be able to carry over our saved games to the pc version.
I want to be stoked but after getting totally screwed in a ME1 playthrough with a corrupted save game, I have no desire to restart that one nor to play this one.
@Karlott: You don't want to play this one because of a corrupted save file in the first? I can see why it would be frustrating to replay the first (despite great replayability), but not playing the second out of spite is just stupid.
@Karlott: yep Cookie right. i played first ME like 4 times. And just dismissing great game because of a save file is stupid. maybe the reason is not save file..maybe you don't like rpgs? or don't like Sci-fi? or lesbian alien sex?
@Shidori: I love RPGs, Sci Fi RPGs, and Bioware. But with the exception of a couple of days of binging, this game really did not captivate me for some reason.
@eyeshield: Here we have the winnar of the thread. Feels pointless to do the second game without having the save file ready to go from the first. Worst part is I can *almost* use the console commands to fix my save and character, but not quite. And even if I could, supposedly that voids the ability to transfer to ME2.
Also, I'd done a ton of the side missions and had gathered up most of the scavenger hunt crap (none of which I want to do again, it's all the opposite of fun).
@Taggart6 is Tiger Woods Mistress 342: I think you're able to tweak your character yourself, if you so choose. Though I'm sure there's going to be some change in the graphics for this game, so some changes to the character may happen no matter what.
@Taggart6 is Tiger Woods Mistress 342: I'm pretty sure the only thing that will transfer over is the decisions you made in regards to the story. Stuff such as *SPOILERS for those that have not played Mass Effect 1* whether you added Wrex to your squad, saved Ashley or Kaiden, or had the Alliance Fleet save the Citadel Council. Stats and character level will not be transfered to Mass Effect 2.
@Taggart6 is Tiger Woods Mistress 342: They haven't said much about it, so I'm guessing it's not going to play that big of a part. Though you'll probably see the characters you didn't end up killing at some point.
The first thing I thought of when seeing the first screenshot was
"Why does TF2 look realistic there? And why the hell is that medic shooting fire from his blutsauger?"
The war update is making me play unhealthy amounts of TF2
ME2 looks yummy (despite Miranda's in-game rendering being a little, er, odd). I'm so optimistic about it that it's the first RPG I've pre-ordered since... Chrono Cross.
My slighty younger brother got a 360, then sold it. My really younger brother got a 360 then sold it.
This is the game that's going to get ME to finally get one! I loved LOVED the first one. I've never been so pushed by a narrative to finish a game before. Some epic moments despite its flaws and the sequel looks phenomenal.
I know it's already been said... but seriously Capcom - please make this Africa stage be a sign that Elena will be in this game. (As a playable character, not some background cameo crap.) I'll never question you again.
@Brotha Kyo: Henshin a Go Go Baby~: Hell, Elena isn't even a Third Strike character - she's been there since the first SF3, New Generation.
Adding Makoto, a character who debuted in Third Strike and is practically confirmed for SSF4, would hurt the story far more than adding any other character in.
@Brotha Kyo: Henshin a Go Go Baby~: Well, I was just alluding to the leak, which says that Makoto, Ibuki, Dudley and a new character named Hakan will be the next to be revealed - considering the leak has been accurate thus far, I'm betting on them being in there.
Now, if Capcom wants to surprise us with more characters, they can feel free. Thus far, none of the leaked characters have really hit a sweet spot with me. I'm still waiting on Elena, and I'd at least like to see Alex, Karin or Rolento.
@the7k: Oh, right! I forgot about that accurate leak! .< D'oh!
You know, now that you mention it, where IS Karin? I'm actually surprised she's nowhere to be seen, nor mentioned, and considering she's pretty much Sakura's foil (Or tries to be anyways.), having her in the mix would be both fun and hilarious.

I actually felt the first game was a bit of a let down. Still had a blast with it, but never got as hooked as I thought I would.

But with that kunai that Guy found, it might be Makoto's rival instead.

I noticed that as well. Andore from Final Fight is there in the background too.
(Hugo is based off Andore for the young noobs who don't know and Andore is based off Andre the Giant)
