It wasn't a bundle or anything, you'd pay what you normally pay for a PS3, and just get LittleBigPlanet for free. Well, that deal's now been expanded, with SCE Australia announcing that customers will, when buying a new PlayStation 3 console, be able to choose one of four games: LittleBigPlanet, SingStar Abba, MotorStorm 2 or Resistance 2. That should have just about everyone covered...if you can't find something on that list you like, you should possibly reconsider why it is exactly you're buying a PS3.

<![CDATA[Sony Australia Giving LittleBigPlanet Away With Every PS3 Sold]]> And not as a hardware bundle. Just as a general, Christmas-y giveaway. The deal was supposed to kick off this Thursday, October 23. It obviously, now, will not be. It'll instead be kicking off a little later, whenever SCE Australia can confirm a local release date. The deal will see every single PlayStation 3 console sold in the country during the holiday season come with a copy of LittleBigPlanet. A free copy of LittleBigPlanet. Even if you don't want one. Good news for Aussies in the market for a PS3! Bad news for LittleBigPlanet's pre-owned market value.

<![CDATA[No 160GB PlayStation 3 For You, Australia]]> Hope you didn't get your hopes up for that 160GB PS3, Australia (and by extension, New Zealand), as SCE Australia have announced that the console won't be made available in the antipodes. And really, why would it. SCE Aus know better than anyone we're not getting PlayTV or the PSN Video Marketplace anytime soon, so they know better than anyone else we don't need the extra space (and/or they don't need the extra SKU).

<![CDATA[DualShock 3 Dated For Australia. Bring Money.]]> SCE Australia have announced an antipodean release date for the DualShock 3. It'll be available on April 24 for - wait for it - AUD$99.95. Which is USD$92. Which is AUD$30 more than the Sixaxis cost. This leaves Australians paying twice as much for a Dualshock 3 as they did for a Dualshock 2 (which went for AUD$49.95), a turn of events that would be comedic if we weren't talking about the PS3 in a PAL territory. Australians, you, uh, may wish to consider importing.

SYDNEY, 15 April 2008 - Sony Computer Entertainment Australia (SCE Aust.) today announced the launch of the DUALSHOCK®3 Wireless Controller for the PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3), which will be available in Australia from Thursday 24th April 2008 with an RRP of AU$99.95 and in New Zealand from 9th May 2008 with an RRP of NZ$109.95.

The DUALSHOCK 3 Wireless Controller provides the most intuitive game play experience with pressure sensors in each action button and the inclusion of the highly sensitive SIXAXIS™ motion sensing technology. Each hit, crash and explosion will be more realistic than ever as the user will be able to feel the rumble right through the palm of their hand. The DUALSHOCK 3 Wireless Controller can even detect natural movements for real-time and high precision interactive play, acting as a natural extension of the user's body.

DUALSHOCK 3 utilises Bluetooth technology for wireless game play and the controller's USB cable to seamlessly and automatically charge the controller through the PS3 at anytime. By integrating all these features into the unique PlayStation® controller design, the DUALSHOCK 3 will further enhance the advanced game play experience that is only available on the PS3 system.

Key Features:

· Pressure sensors that rumble with each action making every impact feel like you're right in the game

· SIXAXIS™ highly sensitive motion control system senses your every move

· Bluetooth technology for wireless game play; the PS3 system can support up to seven wireless controllers at one time

· Ability to be charged at any time through the PS3 system using the controller's USB cable
