Ooo... VINYL! Audiophiles unite! =/ Too bad I don't have any turn tables any more and the speakers I have now are garbage compared to what I had before. *debating comic-con* Question: Price?
My only question is why hip-hop? The SFII "soundtrack" was all hip-hop as well no? I mean, yes there are people who like fighting games and like hip hop, and I'm not "dissing" anyone's preference in music, but why not explore some other musical genres. Is there some fighting games = hip hop rule I'm not aware of?
@A-Rude-Hero: The reverse is also true, someone out there is saying " hey , why wont they diverge into other genres that ARENT some sort of electronica / always used music in a fighting game?" Surely, because you heard hip hop in two fighting games, it doens't mean every single fighting game you encountered has ONLY hip hop in it.
Holy mother of all pearls. If anyone get's their hand on the 10" and wants to sell it, I'll gladly pay 5x the original price. As long as there is the authenticity and it doesn't look like your typical "Ship compact disc to a groove shop", I'll buy it without hesitation.
Are comic fans closet hip hop fans as well?
Is your conclusion based on the fact that it's a soundtrack for a game that has the Marvel License slapped on it?
I must know, it is boggling my work fatigue brain.
Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?
@Save me: It's a vinyl video game soundtrack. A VINYL VIDEO GAME SOUNDTRACK. OK sure, maybe comic book fans and video game fans aren't the biggest hip hop fans, but Capcom has been dropping some pretty fantastic collectibles lately (Megaman 9's hard copy release to be specific) and this seems to be another collectible release that a lot of people are going to want to get their hands on.

@WiNg0o: Megaman isn't the only one who looks a little "off" to me.
Now, I know I was just saying the other day how we shouldn't be too harshly critical of things posted on here since the people who created them are probably reading our comments... And I'll try to be mindful of that.
But honestly, with the long and rich history of artwork generated by Capcom (see the 20th anniversary book post earlier today on Kotaku) it seems awfully strange for them to go with this picture that, quite frankly, does not measure up.
With the amazing artists at Capcom's disposal, not to mention everyone at Udon, not to mention anyone who ever worked on any of the comics whose characters are in this image, how is it that the album cover appears to have been drawn by "that guy who everyone knew in highschool who was pretty good at drawing?"
I predict a surge of mild annoyance by professional artists everywhere.
@InconspicuouslyConspicuous: I don't think the typo is off topic at all. Come on Kotaku, I know these things are getting thrown at us fast (and is appreciated) but let's get some proofreading going.
@InconspicuouslyConspicuous: Did you ever think that maybe he was simply debating whether to write an epic prequel on the life of Prince or writing something about the Persian Empire? No? Yeah....
However, just imagine the epic epicness that would be a cover illustration of Prince as drawn by Todd McFarlane. 'Twould 'splode the mind.
By the way, for those who didn't notice, the title of the article reads "... Prince OR Persia..." notice the "oR" not "oF"
I'd love to see how the narrative is like for the movie before I can see how "ridiculously qualified" he is.
I am somewhat optimistic since I didn't get the horrible vibe as to when I saw the Chun-Li trailer. Yet again who didn't feel a horrible vibe when seeing the SF Chun-Li trailer :/

@Outkastprince: Transformers had a bottomless well of 80's nostalgia to fuel it that Prince of Persia lacks. It would be a hit regardless of quality. The first movie stunk, the sequel stunk harder, and it's still raking in millions.
@Outkastprince: Peter Cullen? Yeah, old time fans complain about the "Bayformers," but it still has enough connections to the past for fans to see it again and again, at least going from Internet reviews and sales.
Thundercats has more or less been a Broadway staple for eons now. Go check it out. :p
@Outkastprince: Agreed. So far, this is how I view them (And I have seen most of these movies):
Micheal Bay's Transformers -- Robots with cliche lines (world peace and other garbage filler lines), and some chick that looks like she'd be on a Dorito commerical at halftime.
G.I. Joe: Prettyboys in spandex armor.
Star Trek: McDonald's iShip : The Next Generation
Now, don't get me wrong, I liked Star Trek, and I enjoyed droning (read: not going there for a real plotline) with the TF movies, but there is no way on God's Green Earth that anyone will convince me that those are G.I. Joes, Transformers, Star Trek characters; anymore than Mark Gordon would convince me that five ragtag survivors of an alien attack in New York would be Voltron's Lion Force!
It kinda makes me wish that they'd add "knockoff" to the taglines.
Way to kill childhood memories, Hollywood. And you wonder why people say you no longer have original ideas...

@Kobun:
Peter Cullen maybe... But it's hardly enough anymore.
For one, the voice of Megatron (Gary Chalk) is still around, yet you don't hear his voice. Sure, Starcream/Cobra Commander (The Late Chris Latta) isn't around for requests anymore, but Cullen performing the duties of Optimus, and not hearing Chalk is nothing short of disappointing; even if the IMAX candy were enough for me to drone for an hour and a half.

Afterall, between Superman III (or was it IV?) and the WB series, there were no expectations for Lana's legs (or physique, for that matter.)
That all said, I'm still holding an 'office pool' on when we're all going to see Kristen Kreuk on Skinemax.
