Now that's better. I'm glad to see a lot of non-lethal options, as that is something that I've always loved about the series. Sam's so good he doesn't always HAVE to kill. #splintercellconviction
@WonkersWatilla: Maybe he might have to. Who knows? But what's so interesting about being forced to shoot hostages in an airport? #splintercellconviction
@BallPtPenTheif: Ehhhh I see the similarities but I don't think they're the same character archetypes. This Sam Fisher makes MGS4 Snake look like kiiind of a philosophically-waxing pussy, and I say that as a huge fan of Snake. But revenge does have a tendency to make a one more of a bad ass than moral qualms do. #splintercellconviction
@Unfather: Trust me, I am aware of their differences. I was just making a joke about the grizzly voiced badass archetype. You guys are really defensive about your Sam Fishers. #splintercellconviction
@BallPtPenTheif: Don't you EVER mock Sam Fisher again you sonuva bitch!
Kidding of course, and to be fair I could never tolerate enough of the second Splinter Cell to ever pick up any of the others, so I am no kind of Sam Fisher fan.
"Harry Potter with Soccer" is exactly how I described it when I saw the preview at E3.
I said something like - "Oh hey, it kind of looks like Harry Potter. .... OK, it looks EXACTLY like Harry Potter."
That's really all I got out of the entire presentation. That and the impression that it was just some goofy kid's game.
After reading this, it sounds like a glossier version of EA's Harry Potter Quidditch World Cup. So, my initial impression hasn't really changed at all.
For those of you to young to remember or don't know who the coach is, Pele is probably the best football player I've seen and was part of the incredible Brazilian team that played the beautiful game like no other in the 60's.

You're right, Fahey, he is a walking cliche. His actions are rougher than usual, but they don't boil over the edge.
Dammit, I want to see Sam Fisher forced to shoot hostages in an airport. Anything else these days is just boring. #splintercellconviction
