    I'm surprised to see Kmart is still around. All the Kmart's in my area closed down some 5 years ago so.

    @High Speed Indeed: yea thats about what i remeber too. Games for the newest generation console were always $50 until the sega saturn came out, then they had the gall to try to charge $80. After that it went back to $50 until the generation we have now. Of course nintendo wii games are still only $50.

    @High Speed Indeed: I paid 49.99 for tecmo bowl for the NES in 1993. I saved up my allowance forever to get it.

    @Komrade Kayce: I remember I got a few games for the 32x, each costing about £60-£65. In the current climate, that's $99-$107 each. Ouchees.

    Even Super Street Fighter 2 for the megadrive (genesis) was about £55. #blackfriday

    Had to remove the article about the 'new' Lego Batman and Pure Elite bundle being at Walmart now, eh? :P

    "Pure, Lego Batman and Halo ODST for $299"

    THIS, however, is worth noting. That ODST throw in IS new. At least it provides incentive to not just buy the 199 dollar arcade -100 buck gift certificate + 140 dollar 120gb hard drive thingy.

    Though the deal I nabbed for my second 360, 329 for Lego Indy, Kung Fu Panda, Wireless Adapter, Halo 3 (blergh!) and Elite was pretty sweet about a month ago. Have no intention of using the adapter, but its an easy way to not spend 99 bucks and I can give it to my Dad as part of a christmas gift.

    Yasee, he's got a wireless network in his middle of nowhere house and satellite internet, so the option of online play isn't really there, but downloading Arcade games would be nice. Duke Nukem 3D being one of his favourite games of all time. Yes, my 55 year old father likes yelling eat shit and die at the tv while giving money to strippers.

    But I digress.

    Left 4 Dead 2 is 39.99? Seems like you Americans are finally catching the same Walmart break we Canadians have been lately. Borderlands and Batman both launched at 39.99 in Canuck monies.

    EDIT: Also, I realize this is Kmart. A store of such a name which I don't think I've ever seen up here.

    Lets be nice to Zellers. Found a 5 dollar sealed copy of FFT for PSX no longer than five years ago in the throwaway bargain bin.

    ...okay, Zellers is pretty horrible. Unless its in a high profile area, every Z I've been to has been dirty, and seriously lacking any sort of inventory. #blackfriday

    @Komrade Kayce: Yeah, Kmart has had a ton of bad financial luck as well. The one near me closed down at least 5 years ago. It's an okay store. It's basically the same as Walmart without being a juggernaut of savings.

    Still some of these deals are nice, but I don't know if I have a Kmart in driving distance to me. Also, I haven't seen these linked this year...

    Hellboy 2 for $3.99 jumped out at me. I lost my copy, so that's what I'm getting. As far as games? Maybe the DS thing with the 5 games if they let you choose the 5 games you get. #blackfriday

    @Morisato: I think that has already been confirmed somewhere. With the Elite now taking the price point of the pro and thus becoming the standard model and the arcade staying the same, there just isn't room for the Pro, especially if the Super Elite rumours are true.

    On the boxes now, they only feature the Elite and the Arcade, no pro. #xbox360

    I am 90% sure that this deal is true.

    First, I work at Walmart, and being a gamer I keep an eye on video games.

    Second this was indeed a deal used with the PS3 last June. And then again several other times with other products.

    Third I recognize the computer screen and when I actually look at that specific screen myself and if I see that up there I be 100% sure #xbox360

    @JBRonin: Also Week 41 should be next week, and I recently heard about how Sears is unloading Black Friday deals way before the big day so it makes sense for Walmart to up the ante.
