I really want to get the stick for SFIV but I don't have much fate in Madcatz from past experience of their products breaking easily. I hope this is worth the money I'm going to inevitably throw down on it.
@-MasterDex-: If you are laking faith, wait until some reviews are out. I am pretty sure you will not regret purchasing the TE Arcade Stick, if you end up purchasing it.
@oldskuel: Th TE is waay out of my price range for a controller. I will get the regular edition if the reviews are good for it though, last thing I want is to be stuck with the 360 controllers shitty D-Pad.
I consider myself a massive 2D fighter fan but I cant play with an arcade stick to save my life. No matter how effortlessly I can pull of moves with a d-pad, I feel like less of a man...
@Superspecs: If you're getting SFIV on the 360 then a stick is a must. The 360 controller has the worst Dpad for 2D fighters, I can't imagine trying to play SFIV using it.
@Christoph: Admittedly not being that familiar with the advanced controls of Street Fighter IV, I will say that for most fighting games, anyone playing with a stick will absolutely wipe the floor with anyone using a standard controller. The main reason being that it's much easier to press multiple buttons simultaneously with a stick, as most fighting games require for the more advanced moves. Circular controller motions are also a lot easier with a stick than with a controller. (Though most cheap sticks these days have a square "hole" for the controller, so it's a little harder to do these motions than on a better stick.)
@Tha-Militant: @Tha-Militant: Agreed. This controller looks really good but I hope I can hold off on it until some reviews come in. If not then my wife will just be getting my dick in a box.

Does anyone else think the turbo button toggle will cause problems online? That's a big disadvantage for the non-stick players...

I think you just convinced the entire community of Kotaku singles to stay single.
Hey, editors, you need to make another post about your extremely adorable children to counteract this.
