Watch. That studio Ghibli game is going to be incredible. I know it's only the studio's first cut at a video game but if they work half as hard at their games as they do at their movies, Level 5 is going to create a gem of a game with their art direction.
@SuperSonik: Unlike film, art direction alone can't really support a game.
However, with Level-5's track record, I'm very confident it will be good. The only possible hold-up would be the use of the book in the real world (though, IMO, that just seems awesome).
Hoping it comes Stateside sooner rather than later. I'm guessing it'd be up to either Disney or Warner to publish it, possibly NOA.
I would love to see one of the games be a return to True Fantasy Live Online. Mr. Hino said he still wanted to finish the game. So it would be awesome if it was still being worked on.
I would love to see what could be done with a console Professor Layton. I also would love to see the third game be Dark Cloud 3.
Great but how long do we have to wait to get it. I mean Prof. Layton has 3 games already released we have what 1 and it is still a top seller for the ds. They need to move games to the US faster at that company.
@Archaotic: amen
allegedly they are working on one, or at least a successor

@Archaotic: that would be cool, but i want another Rogue Galaxy. although i haven't finished it so i dont know if its possible. i always wanted to play it but never did, then i found it used for $7 and now im upset i didnt support it when it came out. it could have helped bring a second one over.
@(Zombie) Jolan: I've definitely heard from one of my sources (the same source that clued me in to WKC's online multiplayer several months before Sony announced it) that DC3 is in development.
Wouldn't be surprised to see it at TGS. It'll be unlikely to see it at this event, though, since it's a Sony-published game.
Please let one of them be a PS3/360 epic RPG. They've proven they can do it. White knight was just a bad fluke. I'd love to see them either do Dark Cloud 3 or an MMO like True Fantasy.
I'm starting to get the feeling that reporting on an announcement of an announcement only amplifies it's stupidity. That's not a jab at this article or anything, but a game announcement has become a pretty big thing these days, and a company letting fans know they'll be introducing something new ahead of time sorta builds hype. In itself that isn't too bad, but when we start hearing of the announcement's announcement from other third parties is just sounds, quite frankly, moronic.
Oh well, I'm interested to see what they announce! (As long as it's not another announcement)
@Paradox me: Well, who should report the announcement if not the press? It's not like the general public goes to these companies' websites everyday, and without news sites telling you that a company announced an announcement, you would never know it happened, and thus there would be no hype, and you would be unable to look forward to the announcement.
@Paradox me: I am agree. It's not as if a head-level executive came out to a crowd of waiting fans to say "We are going to have an announcement on such and such a date". This is a website thing that builds hype and lets people know that more is coming.
I too have an announcement to make: I'm gonna go take a dump right now. I hope I have properly understood how to say a thing, and that the news finds you well.
Why is this such an increasingly popular trend among Japanese developers? I don't care. The point of teasing is that it's frustrating and aggravating, but that it makes you want something. However, as most anyone who's been in the dating pool long enough can tell you, extensive teasing leads to a lot of rage. Announcing announcements is just a waste of time.
@TheHeartless: Are you seriously suggesting we kill an entire industry when unemployment is already such huge problem? If anything, we should be announcing more announcements! After all, it's not like those people can do anything else.
The Another World is my top priority in Japanese games; a developer of this calibre combining with the visionary story-tellers at Studio Ghibli... literally has me weak at the knees.

Dark Cloud 3 needs to happen. Hino wants to do it, the fans want it, it just needs to happen.

Still gotta pick up the other layton games, though since my reading is far from perfect I do get stuck on some of the puzzles at times. :/
Also that The Another World do hope that shapes up nicely. Still no release date on it it seems.
