    @BoomingEchoes: He never said that. He basically said that it's a sad thing if you need to be in a video game to get your music known these days. He never said that people shouldn't play the games, nor did he say that they should pick up an instrument. What White said was more of a stab at todays youth rather than the games they play. #rockband

I could say "man, it's too bad chili fries have to have beans" and chili fry fans will think I'm attacking the chili fries or--even worse--fries as a whole, then see me consuming and call out my name under a banner of hypocrisy. It just bugs the hell out of me. Why can't people understand that Jack White just wishes his fries came bean free!? #rockband

    @Stoli: Or "Black Math". 'Girl, You Have No Faith in Medicine" was my least favorite on Elephant, but having said that, it's still a solid track. #rockband

    @robpe36: he never said he was against them. he said he didn't precisely like the way they introduce people to music.

    you have to understand his bias. for him, learning to play the guitar, writing songs, and becoming a liked, then well-liked, then famous, then world-famous musician was a process that he might call the greatest feeling in the world.

    i've played a two-minute guitar solo of my own composition in front of two hundred people, a small fraction of his audiences, and i can totally begin to understand where he's coming from (without forgetting where music game fans come from).

    for him, for a person who loves creating and exploring music so much, it's hard to understand why someone would want to just pretend to play it. it's maybe hard for him to understand why you wouldn't want to be making it yourself. he finds it silly that people like these music games. it might not occur to him that some people don't want to create music of their own. they're happy just pretending, and listening, and appreciating.

    though he probably, somewhere in his heart, understands that it brings them pleasure, and figures he shouldn't deprive them of that. (or himself of money lol)

    I think I'm more excited to see Kasabian - "Club foot" on there more than I am to see any of the The White Stripes tracks. Not to say that I dislike The White Stripes or anything, I just happen to be a bigger Kasabian fan. #rockband

    @blacksuits: they should put "ball and biscuit" up on rock band. the bassist could play the chord progression during the guitar solos.

    Ive been waiting for White Stripes song on RB forever. I wonder what took them so long.

    Also, cheap shot at Meg. Shes not that bad. Not every band needs a John Bonham or Dave Grohl caliber drummer in it. Her drum skills dont take anything away from the White Stripes.

    @spannu: I suppose it could. I dont think it really matters personally.

    it just seems every time someone brings up the fact that someone isnt trained or had a lesson in something, its used negatively.

    I think im just a little tired of people saying how bad of a drummer meg is whenever the white stripes are brought up.. anywhere.

    Then again, we have Halo hate and Bayonetta's head/sarah palin comparison to worry about. Those things are also plenty annoying.

    I dunno, im just trying to stick up for meg white.. #rockband

    @Count Hippopopolous: Yes he was as a matter of fact.Now the white stripes have songs in GH and RB.I could criticize Jack White for being a hypocrite among other things but who am I kidding,the white stripes in rockband makes me smile :) #rockband

    @Count Hippopopolous: Considering The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather are also in Rock Band, that's now three bands Jack White performs in that are in music games.

    He might not like them, but he seems certainly willing to accept royalty checks from them. #rockband
