I am probably the only one who really didn't like DOG. I hate when movies/games/books anthropomorphize animals, and I hate when a child builds a robot (like Anakin and C3PO). DOG was the worst.
"He's loveable, fiercely loyal, and downright cute at times, but he's also capable of tearing open a Strider and ripping out its brains with his bare hands."
@Zaxxon Q Blaque: When you have a comfy chair, a bottle of your favourite drink (mine's water) and a little snack, I think anyone could sit at a desk for hours on end.
@Zaxxon Q Blaque: Both episodes have been out for awhile, don't expect people not to discuss stuff like that about an xpac that was released over a year and a half ago.
@JAGJEET: Number one, what the hell does "go with spoilers" mean? Number two, it's not censorship, it's just common courtesy. Number three, "Fuck you" is kinda harsh. Might wanna take your meds and calm down a bit. Number four...
@JAGJEET: ... you quoted yourself? Really?! Okie dokie. 0_o
One of the interesting characteristics of Dog is that he fits in well in both serious and light-hearted situations. He would have worked fine as a supporting cast member of Wall-E, for example. Maybe it's because of how little a grasp he has on the larger meaning of any given situation.
I love his visual design too. Valve did a great job at making him look like a ramshackle Frankenstein of a robot, yet also looking sturdy and friendly. He's a very memorable character.
Dog is all around great... and you don't have to potty train him. Unlike my new yellow lab puppy haha, but she took to it well so all is good. Dogs > all.
Avoided the second because friends of mine warned me against it. Something about too many bugs and an unfinished, hurried story line that ended up not making any sense.

They way that you ripped me from my metal prison after the citadel exploded.
The way that...
... ok, that's as far as I got in Half-Life 2.
I still love you.

Beast Wars is hands down the best Transformers series. No arguments possible.
However, you really can't beat the original Optimus "Peter Cullen" Prime (as Kotaku recently put it) for a voice.
