But I do know that it's a robot that looks like Mappy, and it's in a maze. There's also a bit of Goro getting ready to run the maze. Odd.

<![CDATA[Robot Crane Game. (Yes, ROBOT!!)]]> Crane games are old. In Japan, where they dish the future out like candy, crane games are controlled by robots. Well, this one is at least. The concept is currently being tested, but differs from traditional crane games in that it's timed. So, instead of being given X number of moves to use the crane to snag loot, players must use the robot in a race-against-the-clock to bag their prize. Delightfully nerdy and TOTALLY AWESOME!

<![CDATA[Clip: Gameboy Commercial]]>

It seems to be Nintendo video day today so I have one last one for you. This time it's a GameBoy commercial featuring a giant armoured robot thing that shooots blue lasers out of it's fingers. Apparently the blue laser has the power to transport human boys into the misty land of the GameBoy nebula. When used by humans, however, the blue finger laser can be used to destroy your robot enemies.

After seeing this, I went and plugged in my old GameBoy, but unfortunately as hard as I tried, I couldn't manage to get the laser thing to work. Man, I got gypped.

<![CDATA[Clip: NES Commercial]]>

"Will you be the first?"

They really knew how to entice kids to buy stuff back in the 80's. Tell them they will be the first to own something, throw in a cool robot, a light gun and Duck Hunt and you've got a license to print money! So, how many of you were sucked in by this one and went running to your parent's room at 6am on a Saturday morning begging for it? And how many of you actually got it?

<![CDATA[Mon Dieu! French PSP Controlled Robot]]>

God bless the French for the Nouvelle Vague, good wine, Serge Gainsbourg and PSP controlled robots. Big brother site Gizmodo points to this mod that uses the PSP's Wi-Fi capabilities to control a ramshackle robot. Solid proof that the PSP can be used for more than UMD porn. C'est cool!

<![CDATA[Clip: PSP Kiosk In Action]]>

I wrote up my experiences with the Playstation Portable kiosk yesterday. Today, I bring you a video of the thing in action. While I thought it was pretty cool, I think it's got some kinks to work out still. Would you buy your next portable from an automated dispenser?

<![CDATA[E306 Justify Your Robot Head]]>

We found one of the boys from Destructoid running around with a robot head on and we asked him to justify, well, his robot head. And yes, we got him to dance.

<![CDATA[Roomba Frogger Makes Me Sad]]>

The Make Magazine folk took a Roomba vaccum cleaner and turned it into a Roomba Frogger. They slapped the white vaccum cleaner in a green t-shirt and then created arm, legs and eyes with paper cups.

After making it look like a giant squashed frog, they hacked it to make it controllable with a laptop and then took turns rolling it across Sixth Street around traffic.

It died under the wheels of a 4Runner. Poor Roomba Frogger, it never had a chance.

<![CDATA[Remote Control PacMan Robot Game]]> pacrobot.jpg

Wow just wow! This is the sweetest version of PacMan I have ever and probably will ever see. Akihabara News saw the PacMan Robot game displayed at IREX. You control the metal Pacster with a remote and it sounds like someone else controls the ghost.
