Resident Evil: Extinction Now On DVD, Blu-ray Apparently

The third and possibly final Resident Evil cinematic masterpiece, scribed by the multi-talented Paul W.S. Anderson of Alien vs. Predator fame, has come home. Resident Evil: Extinction is now available on DVD and Blu-ray, with the latter definitely not featuring playable demos of Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry 4, despite what you may have heard elsewhere. Anyone pick it up? Get your fill of zombie crows and sand? I'll refrain from biting remarks, as I've yet to see any of the Resident Evil film adaptations due to a crippling fear of hearing Milla Jovovich speak on camera and having better things to do with ninety minutes.

Resident Evil 5 Not Playable On RE: Extinction Blu-ray

Some errant reporting this morning led a few sites—including Sony's own semi-official blog ThreeSpeech—to believe that the Blu-ray disc movie release of Resident Evil: Extinction would ship with playable demos of Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil 5 for the PlayStation 3. Resident Evil: Extinction Infects Theaters

The third installment of the continuously worsening Resident Evil movie series is finally here, waiting patiently at a theater near you until something you really want to see ends up sold out. From the 18% Resident Evil: Extinction has gotten so far at Rotten Tomatoes, it definitely sounds like the sort of movie you'd only see if nothing else was available, or perhaps on a dare. I personally am amazed at how they've taken a concept as glorious as Milla Jovovich killing zombies and made it totally abhorrent to me, though honestly Milla herself contributed greatly to that thanks to her vapid commentary on the first movie's DVD, where she was revealed as that girl who is extremely hot until she opens her mouth to talk and half the sounds are giggles. Not so much an announcement now as it is a warning - Resident Evil: Extinction is in theaters today. Makes sure to buy your tickets for better movies in advance.

Resident Evil Flicks Resurrected, Bundled

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is prepping Resident Evil fans and Milla Jovavich thigh enthusiasts for the upcoming release of the third Resident Evil movie, Resident Evil: Extinction, due to hit theaters late September. The company is packing together the first two Resident Evil film adaptations into one budget package, the Resident Evil: Double Feature Resurrected Edition, due to hit store shelves September 4th.
