Naturally, I took an appropriate amount of time playing the game before posting that it had arrived. But this isn't one of those disgusting bragging posts, where some schmuck editor taunts you with an early release; it's a reminder.

Our GTA IV review is going live tomorrow morning, 9 AM Pacific/12 PM Eastern in the easy-to-read Kotaku style. After that, expect a handy platform comparison, in which we talk about how GTA IV performs on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Yes, I've played both quite a bit, so I hope you'll find my nitpicking informative. See you tomorrow!

<![CDATA[ Halo 3 Heroic Maps Set Free On Tuesday ]]> Today's Bungie Weekly Update features a handy reminder for the frugal. Next Tuesday, March 25 at 2 AM PDT, the Heroic Map Pack for Halo 3 will become a free download on Xbox Live. Good things come to those who wait (and reject microtransactions). That will coincide with the reveal of the third map from the soon to be released Legendary Map Pack, which, if you're getting greedy, has no current plans for becoming an eventual freebie. Who knows if that may change. God and The Shadow, probably. Maybe Luke Smith.

<![CDATA[ Don't Forget, You Can Play GameCube Games on the Wii ]]> ShigeruMiyamotoGC.jpg Best thing about the Wii: It has a GameCube in it! So players who busied themselves with the PlayStation 2 or the Xbox, have a chance to catch up and get to know the little Nintendo cube. Sure, the GC didn't sell so well in its run, but that doesn't mean the console didn't have its fair share of strong titles. Over at blog Infendo, they have a nice round-up of GameCube exclusives you might've missed. Or hey, you might've totally not missed them! They are:

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Walker
Beyond Good and Evil
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
Super Mario Sunshin
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Pikmin
Pikmin 2
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
F-Zero GX
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
Killer 7

Any thing missing? And keep in mind, these are exclusives we're talking about. (Well, save for Killer 7 and Beyond Good and Evil.

<![CDATA[ The Funde Razor Edges Ever Closer ]]> As your Friday night plans are gelling, don't neglect next week's all-important Wednesday night festivities. While mine will include eating a pound of meat soaked in a to-be-determined Mexican sauce, combined with salty margaritas, those in the greater Denver and New York City areas should be adding one of the Funde Razor events to their to-do lists. The NYC gig throws down at gaming and drinking hotspot Barcade, in the heart of Brooklyn. The Denver flavored equivalent tears it up at the Walnut Room, which just oozes class. Both will be a raucously charitable time, featuring Rock Band and Guitar Hero gameplay, plus boozing, all benefiting Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity.

Donations are taken at the door and many coveted things will be given away to lucky raffle ticket holders. For more details on the event that puts the fun back into fund raiser, hit up the official site. Keep in mind, it's limited to those 21 and over. This may be your only chance to see Brian Crecente in a bird shirt or Joel Johnson in frilly scarf in person.

<![CDATA[ Today is So Ban Monday ]]> Don't forget! Here's how it works: Send us the commenter page for anyone that should get the axe. If we agree (even slightly), we'll swing. And swing hard. Though! No ban gloating. Gloating leads to Ban Hammer backfire, which could cause you to get the boot. Tuesday we'll be back better, lighter, strong and faster. Hope to see you on the other side!

<![CDATA[ Make the World, Win the World ]]> You've got a long weekend. Plenty of free time! We've got a copy of World in Conflict to give away, but we don't want to just give it away. The RTS title was voted "Best Strategy Game" at this year's E3 and presents a "what if" the Soviet Union never collapsed. Here's the contest: Make a globe out of anything you like, but it must be an actual tangible World globe with countries and oceans and everything. The best globes will be selected by the big mean Kotaku editors, while Kotakuland will vote for the best finalist. The deadline for entries is next Thursday at midnight EST. Finalists will be announced that Friday, and the winner can decide if he/she/it wants the PC or the Xbox 360 version. Send all entries to kotakucontest@gmail with the subject line "Globe." Remember, you're not only winning a copy of World in Conflict, but also INTERNET FAME.

<![CDATA[ Mega Man's Inafune In NYC Today ]]> inafunenyc.jpgAs we told you back in early July, Creator of some of the most recognizable characters in video game history Keiji Inafune will be hitting up the GameStop on Broadway and 33rd from 5 to 8pm for an official autograph session celebrating the 20th anniversary of Mega Man. As Inafune is the producer for the Onimusha series and Dead Rising, creator of the Mega Man series, and a graphic designer for Street Fighter you are sure to have something on hand to have him scribble on, and if not there will be limited-edition retro t-shirts and special posters on hand. Plus I am sure GameStop will be happy to sell you any number of overpriced used Capcom games or the just released store-exclusive Mega Man Star Force: Dragon for the DS before bugging you to reserve something. A small price to pay for a brush with gaming greatness.

<![CDATA[ Halo 3 Beta T-Shirt Contest ]]>

And the Halo 3 Beta shirt contest continues! Here's reader John's entry. He writes:

It has my gamer tag, clan, spartan 117, and UK and Canda flags (due to my clan members coming from both countries) on the shoulder pads And "I pwn noobs" written on the back.

Delightful. To bring late-comers up to speed: Make a Master Chief costume, snap a picture and send it to kotakucontest@gmail.com by June 1st. Any material may be used — creativity encouraged! The catch is that the costume must be made by you, and you must be 18 years or older.

Unfortunately the segment featuring "Mass Effect" has been cut due to time constraints and will not be featured during this evening's broadcast. However, the gameplay footage video of "Mass Effect" will be available online at Games.MTV.com, following the premiere of "The G-Hole" at 8 p.m. EST/ 5 p.m. PST.

Sorry for the tease!
