Rather than the guns 'n' hos approach of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, 7 Million looks to be taking its cues from Ocean's Eleven, Thief and Leverage - crime with style, in other words, with a refreshing lack of violence and emphasis on skill and planning.

The game has entered closed beta, and anyone who fancies a caper or two can register via the game's website. The first wave of testers have already begun to steal, with more to be added before the game goes live in the Spring.

<![CDATA[Rock Band 2 Bonus Tracks Reg Live]]> It's finally time, Rock Band 2 owners! The web page for the additional 20 downloadable tracks promised on the back of the manual is finally live and accepting registrations. Simply enter the registration code, fill out the short form, confirm your email, and those 20 free tracks are yours...eventually. What they're doing is getting people registered so when the tracks go live, they'll be able to snag them immediately, which I suppose is better than everyone trying to snag them at once.

Don't worry, there'll be ours eventually. Hell, we don't even know if we should look forward to them yet or not. I'm still holding out for a 20-song collection from Stan Bush of "The Touch" fame.

<![CDATA[SOE Fan Faire Registration Is Go]]> SOE is now accepting registration monies for their 2008 SOE Fan Faire, being held August 14th through the 17th at the Las Vegas Hilton in beautiful downtown...you know. $89 gets you an All-Access pass, which secures you a sneak-peek at "three monumental new games in development". Interesting.

The pass also gets you into the Free Realms beta test, a beta for an upcoming EQ2 expansion, gifts, in-game items, and the chance to listen to John Smedley talk for a bit.

Of course if you'd rather miss out on all the All-Access goodness you can pick up a day pass for $39, which just seems like a giant waste of time and money. Head over to http://www.soefanfaire.com/ and mention my name when you register to receive the awkward joy of having my name on your attendee badge. I've been doing it for years, and look where it's gotten me!

<![CDATA[Get A Longer Wii Warranty]]> Those of you lucky enough to score a Wii this weekend might consider extending your luck by registering your console at the official Nintendo site. If you're comfortable giving up your personal info to the Big N, you'll get another 90 days tacked on to the original manufacturer's warranty.

Since we're getting reports of a few Wii's petering out here and there, including the "fatal" Error Code 110213, it's not such a bad idea.

P.S. Sorry for the pseudo dick joke headline. I really should be above that at my age, but I'm not.
