Under-appreciated indeed...I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that. The musical score for the game by itself was worth more than I could express on paper... memories of spaghetti and westerns popping into my minds eye... Stil have the original...this edition also seems to be taking itself a little more seriously... I'm not seeing exploding overweight circus clowns or midget thugs anywhere... I don't know if this is neccesarily a good or bad thing yet but I don't think there is much that they could screw up as long as they remain faithful to the stylings of the original.

I can't wait for this one. It is one of my most anticipated games of 2010. Mostly because I think the Wild West has yet to be done justice in video game format. There have been some good efforts (Gun, the original Red Dead Revolver, the last Call of Juarez game, Outlaws)... but none of really blown the world up in a way that the setting deserves. And of all the previous attempts, Gun has been my favorite. But it still had loads of room for improvement. And I think if anyone can do it, it is the guys and gals at Rockstar
@sazzrah: You could make a game out of that entire video's premise and setting.
It's either an action game or a Dragon Age-style RPG with the cowboy dude, the pistol girl, the robot, the kung fu guy and the unicorn rider as characters. Basically a Planescape: Torment Western.
every time I see a screen, I drool a little. Between this and Mafia II, I'm ready for some polished open world titles. This game looks stunning! #reddeadredemption

I believe Metallica uses L'estasi dell'oro, which is from the scene before this one.
How do I know? I had a girlfriend who listened to Metallica.
