Red Alert
”Red Alert 3's Cocktail Menu
Set up outside the Spore and Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 viewing rooms at Electronic Art's pre-E3 event last week was a little red bar complete with Russian beers, lots of vodka and this drink list. Unfortunately, the list didn't include the ingredients for the all-crimson drinks.
Hammer & Sickle
Drop the hammer into this cool cocktail.
The Kirov
The pride of Russian, stirred with crimson juice.
Red October
A refreshing rum cocktail with a hint of cherry.
Lenin's Tomb
A nonalcoholic punch for our moderate comrades.
I stuck to the beer.
PS3 Red Alert On Hold
We've been hearing rumblings about this for a couple of days now, but now Eurogamer has received official word from EA that production on the PlayStation 3 version of Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 has come to a halt. While EA could confirm that the development of the PS3 version had ceased, they could not reveal the reason for the stoppage, nor discuss whether or not this was a temporary decision. Very, very curious indeed.
The move isn't without its benefits, however, as PC and Xbox 360 development is being bolstered by newly freed resources. You can look forward to seeing C&C Red Alert 3 on those platforms this Autumn. We'll keep you in the loop should further developments unfold for the PS3 version.

Spare 15 Minutes For This Red Alert 3 Demo
You may think there's better things you can do with 15 minutes. Tidy your room, for example. Marinate tomorrow night's steak dinner. Take a slightly-too-long dump while you finish a chapter in that book you're reading. All good things, but come on, if you can spare the time for those, you can spare the time for a 15-minute walkthrough of Red Alert 3 gameplay. Construction, combat, the works.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3
Know this: EA aren't breaking the mould with Red Alert 3. It looks for all the world like Red Alert 2, only this time with gorgeous water effects and - we're told - controllable Japanese schoolgirl units. But if you're the kind of person to be excited over the idea of a third Red Alert, and especially the rehash of the old intro theme song, that's most likely exactly what you're after, no?
Red Alert 3 Screens Are Slippery When Wet
In talking up the third installment of the much-loved series, the creators of Red Alert 3 have been at pains to stress the importance naval combat will play in the third game. Here's the screenshot proof. No more using battleships as simple shore batteries, this time whole battles will be fought on the open seas. I like how you can see the sunken remains of destroyed ocean buildings. Nice touch.

Fear Not, Red Alert 3's Full Of Hammy Cinematics
Tesla coils, airships, yeah, we kinda expected that sort of stuff to feature in Red Alert 3. What was most vital for the game, however, was that it retain the previous title's most important aspect: the best damn live-action cutscenes this side of Wing Commander 3. And by best, I mean hammiest. So it's great to hear that, yes, things are definitely looking up on that front, with EALA's Chris Corry saying:We really do think the live-action cinematics are a staple of the Red Alert series. We're going pretty full bore with the cinematics this time. We're going to have more than an hour of cinematics; it's almost a minimovie that we're shooting for this. And with that, my excitement for the RTS genre reaches levels not seen since the late 1990s.

EA Officially Alerts Us To Red Alert 3
Red Alert 3 Is So, So Real
Wow. That tease from last week really was Red Alert 3! Just goes to show, dream long enough and hard enough and those dreams can actually come true. The game's the feature of next month's PC Gamer cover spread, and since said cover shows only some concept art, all we know about the game is that it's a third Red Alert. Guess we'll know more when the mag hits shelves on March 4. I presume, EA, you already have Kari Wuhrer's agent on the phone? Because God help you if you don't.Red Alert 3 Announced in April 2008 issue of PC Gamer [PC Gamer]
Man Makes C&C: Red Alert Tesla Coil, Electrocutes Things
In an effort to protect his basketball court from Allied influences, Command & Conquer: Red Alert enthusiast Peter has focused his Tesla coil building expertise toward this Red Alert-style defensive tower. Not content to simply construct a real-life version of the structure from the ultra-popular real-time strategy game, Peter went the extra mile. He fashioned a squad of units—mostly from wood, cloth and wire frames—from the game, including a Tesla Trooper, Engineer and Conscript, through which he funnels thousands of volts of electricity. Let's give it up for science.
Now, who's ready to one-up Peter with their own homemade Tesla Tank?
