    Nice. Just look at that saturated, varied palette. Vibrant colour all over the place.


    Don't know if the game will be good - I've never been a fan of aquatic race games - but it does look good and worth trying.

    @roflwaffles is actually made of cheese: It's cruel, but I'd laugh if Specular included the original Midway boat and it just sank at the start line. :p Or maybe just swap Chumdinger's name for it at least. :p


    As much as I'm looking forward to this, I'm not a fan of these Transformer looking boat designs, and it looks odd that the boats don't even transform on a turbo pick-up like the original (that I can see at least from the trailers). The boats don't really look like they blend with the time frame of the environments at all. What was wrong with Damn the Torpedoes and Tidal Blade?

    Yes! Another update... for the arcade sequel I'll never get to see. Please please please bring this out for 360/PS3 and try to double the number of courses. As much as I love Hydro Thunder, seven tracks isn't enough for a full priced disc release I think.

    oh god yes, seriously, Hydro Thunder was one of my favorite arcade games back in the day along with Daytona USA. A sequel, if even in spiritual form is most welcome!

    Wow, this is a totally shameless rip of Hydro Thunder. I recognize many (most?) of those bits of the course in this video from the hours and hours we played on Dreamcast.


    Which is perfectly fine with me, bring it on.

    I remember spending god knows how much money on Hydro Thunder in the blowing alley in my hometown. I also remember freaking out when I saw the N64 version in a store and getting it.


    I loved the shit out of Hydro Thunder and am totally excited for this.

    @magnakaiser: Hydro Thunder is the bomb, but I haven't managed to buy one for the N64. The arcade version, nonetheless, was the best way to lose quarters. ^_^

    But I must say, Raw Thrill has a huge pair of Golden Crecentes* for being so blatant.
