had this idea years ago...but in mine you would scroll out of FPS...into 3rd...then into squad...then into RTS. an awesome concept, but so hard to take into account all the variables. I am happy to see my once dream envisioned into something more tangible. Too bad I didn't patent it earlier on, but then again...concepts are hard to patent, and if I never got around to making or pitching said idea to a deveopment company (or being hired by one) the idea would sit in infinite limbo. :(

can't wait to try this.

Looks pretty good, but not something i'd play. IT sounds like VC, but I think the over head view is really just a way to say you can play with a sky cam and move that way. not in a turn based fashion. this is just Ghost Recon with a less interesting HUD.

Hmmm, looks cool. I wonder if it'd work as well in multiplayer as that Natural Selection mod for Half-Life. That always seemed to me to be a fantastic blend of RTS and FPS (on the marine side, at least).

hmm, this looks interesting, but I do wonder how the game will retain levels of suspense when you can simply change to RTS view to see upcoming ambushes...

I'll have to see this in action before I can really base an opinion, still, it could be good!

@Xuchilbara: They are terrible. They use the same shitty tactic pioneered by a certain game that I won't mention in which they make the gun in the foreground look as detailed as possible while leaving the environments and other characters bland with shitty textures. This always bugs the shit out of me because I don't look at the gun I look at what I'm shooting. Beautiful environments and character mapping are what make great graphics.

No, that wasn't a fanboy guess.

You said the game had "bland and shitty textures" and people (who complained about KZ2) said that it reuses the same textures over and over again. Now, that doesn't quite mean that the textures are "bland and shitty" but I just took a shot.
