Once a level 60 40-man raid, Onyxia has become a bit of a joke over the years. Now that the level cap is 80, her head is showing up on giant pikes outside the capital cities four or five times a day. Hell, I've even turned her head in, and I am such a casual player that my mage wears khaki shorts. Patch 3.2.2 will change all of that, restoring the brood mother to her former glory in the form of a new 10-man model encounter and a 25-man heroic raid. Long-time players will be thrilled to know that the new Onyxia will drop equipment that looks the same as the loot from before, only with updated statistics to reflect the current level cap. On top of the revamped loot, there's a small chance that a 310% speed flying mount will drop, modeled after Onyxia herself.

Further honoring our forgotten foe, players logging in during November's 5th anniversary celebrations will score a mini Onyxia whelpling pet of their very own. Let's just hope it doesn't take any deep breaths.

<![CDATA[Warcraft Cited as Main Reason for Couple's Divorce]]> It seems that World of Warcraft is the cause of yet another relationship breakdown. A gal named Jocelyn has divorced her husband of six years citing a crippling Warcraft addiction as the main cause.

"He would get home from work at 6:00, start playing at 6:30, and he'd play until three a.m. Weekends were worse — it was from morning straight through until the middle of the night," she told Yahoo! Games in an interview. "It took away all of our time that we spent together. I ceased to exist in his life."

The sad thing is, Jocelyn herself had an unwitting hand in her marriage's downfall. A former Blizzard employee (she didn't work on Warcraft), she gave her husband the game as a Christmas gift when it first came out in 2004. Nine months later and their relationship was already beginning to crumble. According to Jocelyn, her husband's obsession caused him to not only ignore her, but he stopped taking on any household responsibilities in his quest for the next big raid.

So, word of warning Warcrafters: be sure to make time for your loved ones. No game, raid or copious amount of in-game currency is worth the loss of your relationship.

<![CDATA[Dear World of Warcraft]]>

This should probably be a boilerplate that's bundled into every WoW subscription, so people know what they're getting into if nothing else. I haven't played for months, myself.

As time went on, we had more toys to play with. I even started to learn to make my own outfits to wear on our play-dates, just to keep things fresh. It was great! You remember, right? I'm sorry, though, but something along the way just started getting kind of weird.

I'd like to say, "it's not you, it's me", but honey, it's not. Your need to have more and more just got far too strange for me. Five-way was strange enough with everyone trying to figure out what they're supposed to do, but then it was all about the ten-way. And that was kind of invigorating, but, well, you know, ten people is hard to keep track of. It's hard to know who's doing what, but we all have to kind of stick together anyway. I thought I could leave it at that and get used to it, but it just wasn't enough for you, was it?

It's never enough, god damn it! I give and I give and I give! And what about MY needs?!
