All this used game market entry is going to be too little, too late. Every one of these places is going to have to implement a system by which they can track the movement of used games so that they can properly assess prices based on stock and demand that can also be easily adjusted in case of major flux. That's a long cry from MSRP and slight markups.
Then they're going to have to effectively market themselves as trading houses, which is going to do all kinds of interesting things to clientele, especially considering most of these places have a pretty shitty selection of new games anyway. The last three Best Buys I've been in have had dismal game sections.
Then, like it or not, they're going to have to compete with the services already in place at Gamestop, and to a lesser extent local trading companies with established histories.
As it stand, Gamestops already receive tons of the dregs of people's collections, and they're an established chain. I can only imagine the sort of garbage that's going to roll through on untested and unfamiliar trade programs with new companies. For their sakes, they'd better have damn good game plans for dealing with all the used game nonsense that goes around.
@FatalChaos: Depends on if the accept just the system. I had extra x-box's from playing Halo at my place and GameStop would not accept them without all the wires and at least one controller. I didn't have extra controllers as people brought their own and my house controllers were pretty beat. So I'd have had to buy a controller from them to sell them back my x-box.

How about someone who's already had to sell their television set in order to buy food?
