As I think the construction of this would be interesting to do for myself.
At a glance it looks a lot like the plastic Gundam kits I own, and I really can't tell from these images what is die-cast at all. Though I suppose it'll be more obvious from the Weight of the whole thing.
Spelunker! I'm guessing Michael Quest's gags at his expense is creating a sort of comeback for something that never quite was there to begin with. :^) That shirt's too busy for my tastes (and I don't wear hoodies), but I'm glad it exists.
@PuffyTail: I need a gift idea for tshirts for my sister. She won't wear men's tshirts as she prefers those baby doll tshirts. She's into D&D. Got any recommendations? (I didn't see anything I think she'd like on jinx.)
@NotTheOtherBob: Aside from Jinx (and a few on Thinkgeek), I don't know of other game/geek shirt sites with female-friendly sizes. I' would love some suggestions in that department myself :)
Perhaps CafePress or Zazzle might have something? They're a bit pricey, but you can find cute designs there sometimes (or upload your own) and they have a good variety of style and size options.
Space Invaders Infinity Gene requires pretty fast, precise controls, and plays splendidly on the iPhone. It doesn't use an on-screen d-pad, you just put your thumb on the screen and the slightest movement will move the ship. It works great. rRootage on the iPhone uses this too. It's certainly a viable platform for shmups. #rtype
@SmokeyZeke: you made my argument, sir: Space Invaders Infinity Gene is a very good shmup and is really playable with touch controls.
I wouldn't be so negative about R-Type on iPhone. If they go the "drag to move, auto-fire" way, it could be a blast to play.
EDIT: and by reading the full article on TouchArcade, we will have "D-pad, touch, and tilt controls". Pretty sure that D-pad will suck, touch could be good, and ... tilt? How do you play tilt?!

As it is, I have to get my gaming shirts from Jinx (I know, I know).

Thanks!

But still, I do not and never will see it as a gaming platform. The same way I don't see any phone as a gaming platform.
Call me close minded if you like. #rtype
