After watching the anime, I figured my next PS3 purchase should be Ultimate Ninja Storm. But then I remembered no American games feature the Japanese VO, English subs.
Maybe if I import an asian copy, that'd be pretty sweet.
@AntiZERØ: Dude, where have you been? if you want a game, you'd do best to look up on it. it has been mentioned multiple times that it has english VO and Japanese VO both with (i beleive) interchangeable subs.
.. Now, Run off little namconians and design me some Ultimate Storm 2 already... Might wanna throw in an actual adventure mode instead of stringing together fights. Might wanna make it co-op too... Rock Lee and Naruto is one sweet ass team
@Dancing Ketchup: also, they might want to spend some time to make a cel shaded cutscene for every storyline battle, as that would be epic. also, what would be equally as epic, is that they should remake some episodes of the series with the graphics they used in the game, because they do indeed look better than those that you'd find in the actual anime.
Nothing wrong with the trailer; seemed about right for what the game is. I'm still on the fence about getting this though. The hex board/sliding mechanic still seems weird to me and the demo didn't change my mind about it.
I'm still trying to decide where to buy it 360 or DS. I finally finished the first game on my DS last month. I'm leaning toward 360 just for a change in system, hopefully cheeper price and I don't have many puzzle games on it.
hahah I don't know how anyone can think puzzle quest was epic. The story itself was pretty boring to me and about a quarter through the game I straight up turned off the music and played my own playlist on itunes.
Is it a good game? Hell yeah. Is it epic? Not by my standards.
is this REALLY coming to Live Arcade tomorrow?? cos everything that used to say that now says "TBA." and Major Nelson didn't mention it in his blog either.
@Mike Fahey: "The sweeping, space opera music, struggling to maintain its epic feel, while in the background the actually gameplay makes little bleeps and bloops."
Dude, it's fucking PUZZLE QUEST. Leave your pretentiousness at the door for once.
@Babylonian: maybe the publishers should leave their pretentiousness behind.. i rolled my eyes at several points during the demo. there's only so much stock you can put in, as Derek Rumpler said, saving the universe by solving puzzles.
@NeoAkira: Hahaha, what? Do you even know what either of those words mean?
It's pretentious to shit all over a tongue-in-cheek self-aware cheesy puzzle game because you think its music is "struggling to maintain its epic feel". Sorry, it just is.
@NeoAkira: Your "you on the other hand" was implying that I was being pretentious for sticking up for a cheesy little puzzle game's right to be cheesy. You need to learn the meanings of these words before using them.
I was calling you pretentious for calling mike pretentious over something he was trying to be humerous about. Once again, you're making yourself look stupid. Think harder.
Kotaku announced it was. I hope it wasn't some sick joke. Next week is reading week for my school, and I've only got two things on my mind, the lost and the damned, and puzzle quest.
Well... theres homework and essays too, but thats tertiary.

I would recommend the PC. I've played puzzle quest on all three of them and the PC controls are so much more intuitive than the other ones.

fa⋅ce⋅tious
/fəˈsiʃəs/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [fuh-see-shuhs] Show IPA
-adjective
1. not meant to be taken seriously or literally: a facetious remark.
2. amusing; humorous.
3. lacking serious intent; concerned with something nonessential, amusing, or frivolous: a facetious person.
Number 2 and 3 my friend. Please try being intelligible on something before speaking about it as you only end up looking stupid.

Wait, he was trying to be "humerous"? And I'm making myself look stupid? Gotcha.
He was laughing at it, not with it. Keep kissing that ass, though.

I guess you really must be dense. So here, I'll make it even more obvious for you.
"Of course it won't stop me from picking up a copy, but I can't help but giggle a little."
Clearly based on that quote he was being very serious and not being comical in any way, shape or form. Great job there detective.
/sarcasm
In all seriousness, go back to grade school and learn to read properly. It's just sad to see people as stupid as you on this site.

No you don't. The first Puzzle Quest is amazing. Why not just have both?
