Lionhead Studios and its excitable leader Peter Molyneux are rather infamous for attacking massive projects wide-eyed and genuinely enthusiastic, ultimately delivering a final product that's somewhere in the range of ninety percent of what it, and followers of the developer's games, had in mind. Fortunately, for Fable II's sake, the developer kept its expectations slightly more tempered, focusing on the game's broad, decades-spanning tale of moral choices, leaving the more interesting aspects of the fantasy role-playing game to be filled in by the player. Fable II Site Launches, Fabulous Prizes Await
Microsoft and Lionhead have launched the official Xbox site for Fable II, and much like the site for the original Fable it contains a charming interactive storybook for fans of the series to play through, only this time there are prizes involved! The cutout story tells the tale of your character's ancestor as he deals with the death of his parents and his search for love and vengeance. The Many Faces of Fable 2
The characters of Fable 2 are meant to be a reflection of the person playing them, to a point. The choices you make as you grow from childhood to adulthood in the game will change your character's appearance. But, your character is highly customizable. Lionhead Studios says they have tons more clothing to wear (all of which can be dyed), you can put on make-up, jewelry, change hairstyles, add facial hair. You can also morph your base appearance by tinkering with strength, how fat your character is, their skin type. The end result, Lionhead says, is billions of different characters. More »
