I'm almost wondering if Square has some sort of master strategy for releasing their older titles on PSN. Perhaps every time sales dip too low in a region that area gets one of Square's past hits to boost sales for the quarter. Any other conspiracy theories? #vagrantstory

I have a sealed copy and a copy I can play. In fact, I had walked into Toys n Joys and managed to scoop up two sealed copies for $15. It was still the original shrink wrap and PS1 case.

@raffleking: Toys n' Joys is a video game, anime, figure, toy shop in Hawaii that has a total of two stores, I don't think they have expanded (haven't worked there for like 5 years). You can buy stuff from their website, though what they have on their website doesn't reflect completely on their stock. You could try calling them, though it would probably be long distance, or emailing them if you were looking for a game. I am quite sure that Black-Dog-Howls got the games a while back. #vagrantstory

Wow, a European PS1-classic that I actually want to buy?

I'd be happy, but the Poohr release from last week has drained every ounce of belief that SCEE is capable of doing anything right.

I just KNOW they'll screw this up somehow.

Well considering that they're giving interviews for FF13 on the 13th (with possible release date info) in the US and at CVG for Palzone pretty sure they'd like to release the game maybe on that day or the week after.

The script is much easier to understand and the plot is much clearer.

I still have a Vagrant Story disc that I bought from a Blockbuster about five years with no case and instruction manual for 8.99.

As a matter of fact, I'm going to pop it in and try to play right now. Maybe I'll finally understand why people love this game so much. #vagrantstory

.... Wait, someone remind me, can you save PS1 game saves on a PS2 Memory card, or do I need to find a PS1 memory card for that?

Ya know, PS3 can play PS1 games, no problem. So if you have a PS3 you don't even need to worry about archaic physical media like memory cards.

But yeah, I also have Vagrant Story lying around (along with the original FFVII) but all the discs are scratched to oblivion, so this kind of thing is nice.

Especially considering that mom & pop shops sell these PS1 games for an arm and a leg. Any copy of Xenogears is going to retail at like 49.99.

Speaking of which, hey Square. You guys are a bunch of farts. Gimme Xenogears now! #vagrantstory

@Cptn.PaxtonAstypalaea(Corsair): You can store PSX games on a PS2 card, but PSX games do NOT know how to read/write to/from a PS2 card. Same with the PS2 HDD, you can stash all the save games there you want, but unless the game has HDD support, it can't do anything with it. #vagrantstory

@i_pooped_on_: Yeah Give us Xenogears- FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! Seriously, Uk and Europe never got Xenogears. Nor did we get Xenosaga One, but we got Two, and then they complained about poor sales, when Two was apparently meant to be the weaker game? And seriously, who plays a game without playing the first beforehand when they follow on from each other? I got Xenosaga two, but I haven't touched it, because I wanted to play One first, which I found out never came out here...

And Oh, give use Parasite Eve 1 too while you're at it! Yeah, I do own a copy, but I'm not sure I can play import games on my PS1 any more, I think I lost the spring, and also not sure where the import player disc is... And also... My PS1 is at my Parents' house still I think.... #vagrantstory

@Cptn.PaxtonAstypalaea(Corsair): While I stilll (should) have an import copy of VS lying around here somewhere, the lack of a "chipped" PS1 or the inability of the PAL PS3 to play import PS1 games means that I'll be buying it again.

If that means sending out a signal that people are willing to buy this stuff, all the better. Sure beats paying the (at the time) 75 Euros. #vagrantstory
