You can't register the card, it just says that your information is not valid. I've contacted Sony, Mastercard, the National Bank ... They're all aware of the issue, but nobody can fix it. Fun times.

I'm arachnophobic dammit.

BTW I hate spiders as well.

I'll create a new breed of winter weather spiders here in MN and release them at the border! Then we'll see which foot the shoe is on!

Now I can get a few people these because they're either
A.) Too paranoid to use their credit card.
B.) Too too poor to buy anything at the time (i.e. my brother in law)
or
C.) Lacking a credit card
(mine expires next month and they said they'd send my new one AFTER this one has expired, meaning I'll be without one for most of july. Idiots)

Paying the exact amount I want to, no more and no less without having to get more "points", is awesome. It's irritating to know I have Microsoft points and Nintendo points just sitting about. Doubly so when it comes to the fact that I'll likely never 'zero out' with them.

I have a credit card that I got just to use online, but Sony absolutely, non-negotiably needs one that supports AVS, which mine doesn't - so I've had to borrow someone else's card from another bank to use PSN until now.
The only companies to be that dickish about it have been Sony, and Gravity LLC...

That's worth looking into, since under Canadian law it's illegal to tax for literally nothing.
I suspect they just charge tax when you buy points online, but don't charge any taxes when paying with PSN points for a product. That would make things equal.

Somebody has to protect the baby seals and polar bears. The ice spiders are friggin vicious.
But a loonie per intact eye and a toonie per spinneret makes a good living. And eating too.

I have been using Mastercard Gift Cards for months with no problem. The biggest issue I had with them was that I was paying something like an extra 7 dollars just to be able to give Sony my goddamn money (activation/taxes on the gift card).
Honestly, this is LONG overdue. I dont understand how its so difficult to give us a damn card whose only difference with the US is the currency.

There have been workarounds, but they have specifically stated in updates that they were killing support for gift cards - whether or not it worked.
There was also some method to get a temporary number with PayPal, but they killed that too.
If I wasn't able to borrow someone's credit card, I'd have given up entirely on PSN by now. I have a card, but it doesn't support AVS and my bank doesn't know about AVS, so they're basically dead to Sony.
