<![CDATA[ PlayStation Store Update: You'll Get Nothing And Like It Edition ]]> Don't expect anything to show up in your PlayStation Store today, North American PlayStation 3 owners. Like this week's retail releases, the cupboards here are bare. You'll have to take a breather until next week, when we know that at least Rock Band will be on the receiving end of some DLC TLC via the PlayStation Network. While we're idling the time away, enjoying our thrillingly new music visualizers and swapping in and out themes, we'll have a list-off. What did you actually buy from the PlayStation Store this year, if anything?

My list features: flOw, Mortal Kombat II, Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection, Super Stardust HD, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and two Rock Band music packs (Metallica and The Police). Let us know how the 2007 virtual buying landscape looks in the comments.

<![CDATA[ PlayStation Store Update: Tequila Time ]]> The latest update to the PlayStation Store has gone live, hosting a digitally rights managed smörgåsbord of new content for PLAYSTATION 3 owners. In addition to new demos for Midway's Stranglehold (1337 MB) and EA's NBA Live 08 (661 MB), a slew of add-ons for already released games are available.

MotorStorm owners can pick up the Revenge Weekend add-on ($5.99) which consists of one new track, five new vehicles (including a school bus!), a new online mode and nine new events. Four of those vehicles may be purchased individually for 99 cents each, if you're so inclined. For Ninja Gaiden Sigma players looking for more punishment, the Weapons Master pack adds five survival modes for $2.99. But wait, there's more!

Trailers for upcoming games include:

• Turok "Quiet Kills" Trailer
• PixelJunk Racers Trailer
• Heavenly Sword "Making Of" No. 5 and Anime No. 5
• Lair "World in Chaos" Video
• MotorStorm "Coyote Revenge" Video

On the Hollywood front we have:

• Drillbit Taylor Trailer
• Resident Evil: Extinction Trailer

Finally, a single Heavenly Sword wallpaper has been thrown on the pile. Fire up those fiber optic lines, kids, it's gonna be a busy night.

<![CDATA[ PlayStation Store Update: ....Is This Thing On? ]]> The PlayStation Store has finally been updated for this Thursday's refresh, bringing a slew of new content to PLAYSTATION 3 owners. Demos for EA's NCAA Football 08 (728 MB) and Codemasters DiRT (553 MB) are up now and ready to download. New game videos include the new animated episode and a second "making of" clip for Ninja Theory's Heavenly Sword, as well as new trailers for Folklore and Timeshift.

New movie trailers for Pixar's WALL-E, The Brothers of Solomon and The Lives of Others join new PS3 wallpapers for Blast Factor: Advanced Research and, again, Heavenly Sword. This update is so solid it makes me want to do our secret, multi-step handshake—you know, the one that ends with us doing a little hip bump and double finger gun snap-point at eachother?

<![CDATA[ PlayStation Store Update: Advanced Rock Edition ]]> This week's PlayStation Store update should be going live right around.... now. It's a rather solid week, containing the expansion to the previously released Blast Factor known as Blast Factor: Advanced Research. That's a $4.99 download. On the free side, demos for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 and The Darkness are also available. But that's not all!

PlayStation Store's passive side features trailers for Michael Clayton, Get Smart and The Game Plan. That's twice The Rock!

A Resident Evil 5 wallpaper has also been added as has a cheaper Super Rub-A-Dub. The duck steering game has dropped from $6.99 to $2.99 as of today.

Each new addition should take you no more than a few hours to download, now that the PlayStation Store data center has added a second modem.

<![CDATA[ PlayStation Store Update: Symphony of the Night ]]> sotn_richter.jpgWhat is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets! I'll tell you what isn't a miserable little pile of secrets—this week's PlayStation Store update. (Worst post intro ever.) The library of PSone games playable on the PLAYSTATION 3 and PSP has been increased by one, with Konami's Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. A fine addition, to be sure, but at the non-standard price of $9.99 (all other PSone titles are $5.99), it's slightly tarnished.

The rest of this week's updates are mostly trailers, with video content for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, inFamous and Heavenly Sword ready for download. Movie trailers for The Brothers Solomon, I Am Legend, Resident Evil: Extinction and The Brave One round out the list.

European PS3 owners can also download a demo for 2K Games' The Darkness. Of course, North American gamers can also get their hands on it, they'll just need to create a UK account.

<![CDATA[ PlayStation Store Update: Games! GTA IV Trailer! ]]> Today's PlayStation Store update feels like the real thing. With the addition of PlayStation Network title Super Stardust HD, we check the downloadable game box. What about a solid trailer? Check. Grand Theft Auto IV's second video preview "Looking For That Special Someone" also hits the store. Finally, there's a game demo. Dynasty Warriors: Gundam is ready and waiting for your download. Check!

There are even a handful of Hollywood movie trailers, including Superbad, I Know Who Killed Me, The Invasion and License to Wed, just for shits and giggles. The only thing missing from this week's updates are the complaints.

<![CDATA[ PlayStation Store Update: Puzzling ]]> The PlayStation Store update has gone live, bringing with it actual games. That's right, Go! Puzzle has gone live on the Store and includes Aquatica, Skyscraper, and Swizzle Blocks. They can be purchased individually for $2.99 each or as a bundle for $5.99. A "starter pack" demo of the puzzle titles is also available for download for free.

The only other addition? A follow up trailer for the Andy Samberg movie Hot Rod. There's always the Ninja Gaiden Sigma demo...

Home beta hopefuls may want to check their inboxes if they haven't done so recently as we hear Sony has been sending out an additional round of invites.
