PlayStation Store Update: Lost Planet Finds PSN

Today's update to the PlayStation Store brings with it another Capcom demo, a new Go! downloadable game and a new PSone classic. The expected Rock Band add-ons arrive, as does a new freebie for Motorstorm. A handful of videos, trailers and some nice Uncharted wallpapers round out the list. I'm sadly away from my PlayStation 3 today, so download something extra for me, would ya? The full list of updates is right after this. More »

PlayStation Store Update: You'll Get Nothing And Like It Edition

Don't expect anything to show up in your PlayStation Store today, North American PlayStation 3 owners. Like this week's retail releases, the cupboards here are bare. You'll have to take a breather until next week, when we know that at least Rock Band will be on the receiving end of some DLC TLC via the PlayStation Network. While we're idling the time away, enjoying our thrillingly new music visualizers and swapping in and out themes, we'll have a list-off. What did you actually buy from the PlayStation Store this year, if anything?

My list features: flOw, Mortal Kombat II, Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection, Super Stardust HD, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and two Rock Band music packs (Metallica and The Police). Let us know how the 2007 virtual buying landscape looks in the comments.

PlayStation Store Update: Happy Holidays

This week's PlayStation Store update is not unlike a Christmas stocking overflowing with goodies, nary a switch or lump of coal to be found, except that you actually have to pay out of pocket for some of presents. And we don't recommend hanging your four-hundred dollar plus console from the mantle. We do, however, recommend grabbing all the free content you can get your hands on this week, including demos for BlackSite: Area 51 and Snakeball, plus freebies for Folklore, Guitar Hero III and MotorStorm.

To celebrate the release of the Omega Dawn expansion pack for Warhawk, a new theme joins the store alongside the release of the PSone original. You'll marvel at how far graphics have come since then. The full list of stuff is available after the jump.

PlayStation Store Update: Move Up, Ladies

This week's list of updates to the PlayStation Store... ah, the hell with it. The Grand Theft Auto IV trailer is now on the Store and in 720p. That's all you're really looking for, isn't it? Well, if not, there's plenty of peripheral content for you to stash on your hard drive, including new games High Velocity Bowling and the PSone classic Wild Arms. Those of us with the PlayStation 3 version of Rock Band will also be pleased to read that the Black Sabbath pack is now available, containing fan favorite "War Pigs."

The remaining downloadables are listed right after the jump.

PlayStation Store Update: Pain Brought

This week's additions to the PlayStation Store are lead by the downloadable game PAIN, an expansion for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and new content for Resistance: Fall of Man, MotorStorm, Guitar Hero III and Rock Band. For those who didn't pick up the first Resistance map pack, a bundle containing both map packs makes for a better value. There's plenty to see (and buy) this week.

Fans of buying things you don't really own will be in downloadable content heaven. Hit the jump for the full list.

PlayStation Store Update: Demolicious

This week's PlayStation Store update will be one of its biggest, with the already announced duo of PixelJunk Racers ($6.99) and High Stakes on the Vegas Strip: Poker Edition ($9.99) leading the assault. Fortunately for fence sitters, a demo for PixelJunk Racers will be available to try for free. More »

PlayStation Store Update: Tequila Time

The latest update to the PlayStation Store has gone live, hosting a digitally rights managed smörgåsbord of new content for PLAYSTATION 3 owners. In addition to new demos for Midway's Stranglehold (1337 MB) and EA's NBA Live 08 (661 MB), a slew of add-ons for already released games are available.

MotorStorm owners can pick up the Revenge Weekend add-on ($5.99) which consists of one new track, five new vehicles (including a school bus!), a new online mode and nine new events. Four of those vehicles may be purchased individually for 99 cents each, if you're so inclined. For Ninja Gaiden Sigma players looking for more punishment, the Weapons Master pack adds five survival modes for $2.99. But wait, there's more!

PlayStation Store Update: Beauty & The Beast

The PlayStation Store for North America has been updated with a slew... no, no a plethora of quality goodies for PLAYSTATION 3 owners to slowly download. In addition to the already mentioned Folklore demo, PS3 owners can enjoy a recently updated Folding@Home experience. The new Folding@Home adds two new weapons to the title, four new cars, and a fixes a bug that allowed certain ball and stick wiggle motions to cause the console to crash. More »

PlayStation Store Update: ....Is This Thing On?

The PlayStation Store has finally been updated for this Thursday's refresh, bringing a slew of new content to PLAYSTATION 3 owners. Demos for EA's NCAA Football 08 (728 MB) and Codemasters DiRT (553 MB) are up now and ready to download. New game videos include the new animated episode and a second "making of" clip for Ninja Theory's Heavenly Sword, as well as new trailers for Folklore and Timeshift.

New movie trailers for Pixar's WALL-E, The Brothers of Solomon and The Lives of Others join new PS3 wallpapers for Blast Factor: Advanced Research and, again, Heavenly Sword. This update is so solid it makes me want to do our secret, multi-step handshake—you know, the one that ends with us doing a little hip bump and double finger gun snap-point at eachother?

PlayStation Store Update: Advanced Rock Edition

This week's PlayStation Store update should be going live right around.... now. It's a rather solid week, containing the expansion to the previously released Blast Factor known as Blast Factor: Advanced Research. That's a $4.99 download. On the free side, demos for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 and The Darkness are also available. But that's not all! More »

PlayStation Store Update: Symphony of the Night

What is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets! I'll tell you what isn't a miserable little pile of secrets—this week's PlayStation Store update. (Worst post intro ever.) The library of PSone games playable on the PLAYSTATION 3 and PSP has been increased by one, with Konami's Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. A fine addition, to be sure, but at the non-standard price of $9.99 (all other PSone titles are $5.99), it's slightly tarnished. More »
