Himmelsstürmer wasn't PSN exclusive, there was also a PC version.

Nice! This year Touhou has stolen my soul, and I was sad when I found out that all the Cave shooters for 360 are Japan-only disc releases that I can't have. Even if this is limited to Japan, I can just use my Japanese PSN account for it! (After the small problem of loading it with a cash card...)

In reply to Famitsu: Final Fantasy XIII Misses Perfect Score [Story Spoiler!]
Boys and girls, THIS is why the Kotaku rating system is vastly superior. No made-up numbers. No "perfect" score (let's face it, there is no "perfect" game out there). You have the important parts of the review without the reviewer trying to "pin down" what a game should score.

I've found that oftentimes, scores like this tend to reflect the hype and excitement over a new game rather than the actual gameplay. In a way, I almost wish that many reviewers had a second chance to review a game a month or two after release, so that we could see how the opinions might have changed since then.

No offense to those who love Famitsu, but rating systems like theirs seem outdated, especially if they continue to give multiple 10 out of 10 individual scores to games.

Wow this had me confused for a second, as I had never heard of a side scroller named Soldner before. When I saw the title, I was expecting a story on the overall mediocre PC shooter with the same name.

With that said, this title looks pretty solid based off the screenshots. I'll have to keep an eye on it.

You know, if I were marooned on a desert island, with only a football called Wilson for company and nothing made by Gillette, I would still not be able to grow a beard.

I wonder if I could get some plasticmouse beard DLC..

Geez can they just give us new SP missions instead of MP maps?

    ☢ spoiler alert ☢

I was enjoying the game until i fought with Doviculus. I seriously felt robbed by how easy was to kick his keister, heck i had more trouble fighting in the dry ice mine than with him.

So i take the new outfits....and the new gps too, but damn the MP maps to hell ヽ(`Д´)ノ

@Curse lily: Honestly, I don't know why they even bother with MP.

Considering how the campaign ends, it would be very easy to release a couple of additional episodes to continue the story.

But the problem, IMO, is the relative cost of new SP content vs. a few MP maps. Given how poorly the game performed at retail, I'm not sure they can afford to invest a fortune on entirely original campaign missions, which would certainly take a good while longer to develop than a map pack and a bunch of skins.

@eaglegrad09: It would appear so! I think this game looks great. I have always admired bullet hell shooters from afar though, as I am absolutely terrible at them. My old skool reflexes died with my younger self I am afraid. Still, on the bright side, most modern games are hilariously easy in comparison so it all balances out rather nicely!

Finally. The GPS is going to let me get a few more of those 'collectible' achievements I missed, like with the serpents and bone statues and stuff. I'm only missing a few of each, but I don't like using a map online if I can avoid it.

@Komrade Kayce: What really hurts the map online is that there's no map in the HUD in-game to compare it to.

    So it's:

    * Eye the map online
    * Eye the map in game
    * Go back and forth between in-game map, online map, and gameplay trying to figure out where you are.

I've been looking for a reason to go back to Brutal Legend and get the remaining Bound Serpents and Relics.

There's a full map online that has all the locations, but I'd rather have something in-game.
