I was a part of the closed beta and I must say that something about this game didn't sit well with me. I knew it was a beta, but all bugs aside, the one thing that bothered me was the extreme lack of teamwork. Too many lone wolves on that game.
To the right of me, I hear a witch's laugh. And a dread axe cuts through my mail searing my flesh. I gather my wits, I still live, and I escape the second blow. The madwoman, through a binded leathery mask, she calls me traitor, she calls herself a name which I do not hear. I was too concerned with blood matters. And only one of us would win. Looking back now, the battle seems a trivial matter. Noted only for how it started, and how it ended. As I kicked her still writhing body from off my blade, she laughed that terrible witch's laugh once more. Her soul escaped her body, another soul counted among a sad wealth of souls.
I took the armor from her corpse, and the mask from her face. I see a face, younger than I would have thought and fairer than it should have been. But it was locked in that cackle, that mad smile.
I would later hear from Ostrava, that brave idiot, that the woman was once Executioner Miralda. She made her home of that black pit where we fought. In the years since the coming of the Old One, she killed all who came her way. What other living does an executioner without a kingdom have but death? To her, it must have seemed the sanest thing to do. Among the countless dead who were cast into that place, by her hands or other fools, the madness took her. And I took her from her madness.
The binded set I took from her suits me well. It is light, and it is strong, useful qualities. Though the blacksmith could do nothing for its stench, its usefulness may prolong my survival. In this suit, I am more than what I was. And that is enough for me to bear the countless blood stains.
As I test the armor, admiring the feel and the flow, I am all too aware that I wear the suit of a dead woman. I think this quietly, as I swing more perfect strikes, that I must look like her. And I smile a mad little smile.
Patches, watching me from above the Nexus stairs, wishes me a Merry Christmas. I do not know what that means. And I can no longer be merry.
"...will feature more than just the soothing sounds of the God of War trilogy's original score."
That's sarcasm, right? All of the music from the God of War series is epic and distracting (especially when fighting through the marathon of baddies in the Loom Chamber).
@battlescarSS: I didn't find the music distracting at all. And it's fresh in my mind because I just finished the GOW Collection today. To each his own, I guess...
@Garro: No..... Linkin Park has already sunk too low with Minutes to Midnight, and the Transformers 2 remix of "What I've done". Used to love their music until they turned into....can't describe it, they're just awful now.
This is a Premium Edition that I would consider. The God of War series has a deep seeded attachment to many good memories and nights spent with friends... pulling an all nighter with my best friend, picking at some store bought pie, and trading the controller back and forth until 8 in the morning. This is how I beat the first game. Very good times indeed.
So instead of putting in an OST they'd rather get all the bands on their shitty pop label to do songs with lyrics somewhat related to the game. Real classy Sony.

Don't care much for Taking Dawn or Killswitch Engage, but the other 3 choices are fucking awesome.
Glad I pre-ordered the collector's edition for this game.

Though with their track record, the song may be the length of the game.

Just store some other games in it.

My bad. I didn't see this version, upon further inspection I see they have multiple versions of the same edition it seems.
