Well, I think that they need to make MGS4 a Greatest Hits to ensure more sales this year or come out with a Director's Cut from Kojima like they did with past iterations.

Of course, I think a sneak peak of MGS5 would definitely help out too.

@sascha23: I think it will be, but most of the successful PS3 games have been very slow to drop in price. So eventually when MGS4 falls further, I'd expect to see the Greatest Hit treatment. Heck, Uncharted still hasn't reached that point yet.

gee konami. if u went multiplatform instead of getting a kickback from sony to keep MGS4 exlusive. your company would of made more than Sony Paid you to keep MGS4 to themselves.

im just saying since corporations are naturally capitalistic...

guess you guys at konami are afraid of profit.

@DoomLight: A comment that is particularly ironic because you posted it on an article about how Konami is doing really well. For a company that is "afraid of profit", Konami sure are making a lot of it.

As for releasing MGS4 on 360, it may yet happen - but it'll cost Konami to port it, and I suspect that you'd be surprised how few 360 owners are actually willing to buy it (it would be at least a year old, and MGS has been tried before - with disappointing results - on the original XBOX). It seems to be more about fanboys wanting to strip the PS3 of another exclusive rather than a massive desire for the game among the 360 userbase.

That said, I don't see any reason why Kojima wouldn't be willing to go multi-platform with his next release. It's likely to be an FPS of some sort, apparently.

@DoomLight: kojima'd have to take out a massie chunk of what made the game special. also, if you want the game so much, get a ps3. if you "cant justify it" then dont, it's as simple as that. you'll just never be able to get it. you are so quick to say that the ps3 has no games(i assume) and you are just as quick, if not quicker to think of taking it's "nonexistant excusives" from it, just so you can say "HAY SOWNE! J00 N33D 2 P4Y 4 YER GAYMZORZ!!"

By now it seems massively unlikely there'll be a 360 version of MGS4, so, best hopes for a big hit this year... Z.O.E 3!!!!! Make it so.

Too bad for Konami they aren't bringing it to 360...because they could have profits in '09 too.

BTW, did they make a statement?

@kNZA: they didnt make a statement about anything he said, in fact, they said multiple times that they wont port it. and even if they did, it's been gone over and over again that it wouldnt be the same game. they'd have to take out lik 2/3 of the stuff in the game and put it on multiple discs while still leaving out the other 2/3.

Shame because MGS4 sucked and so did PES 2009. FIFA 09 is much better this year (coming from a 6 year PES fanboy)

@DiskoDanyo: Yeah, being new to the series, I got MGS4 after it's great reviews and kinda just played it with a blank stare on my face.

I'd take Splinter Cell over that any day. Talk about overrated.

@Born_To_Kill: it depends on what you're looking for. i like fun games with adventure, sometimes shooting, great graphics, great mechanics that work together, a great story, and a few innovations tossed in here and there. i saw that in MGS4, and never found enough of it in any of the splinter cell games. if you want good spying, buy an older MGS game or even this one, because it had similar style.

@DiskoDanyo: It's a shame Konami had a good year? wat? Did they burn down your home or something? Oh that's right, you're just trollin'.

@DiskoDanyo: @KesMonkey: Difference between a game sucking(being poor) and not liking it. MGS4 was fairly successful IIRC. Maybe it just wasn't for you.

    great shirt, crap game.

why is that always the case.

BTW - Lazio of all teams? I bet Konami can't wait to see their Ultras stomping opposing supporters with that shirt on.

Then again, Lazio are without a major shirt sponsor this year, so that must have influenced it.
