This is different from that visual novel they're making, right? Although if that ever came out in English (unlikely as that is), I'd still buy it anyway....I'm a Disgaea nut. #prinny
I heard that the first Prinny game wasn't too great. I'm a big Nippon Ichi fan but I held off due to mainly word of mouth reviews I heard. Do you guys feel the same towards it? #prinny
@ttocs: It's awesome, but it's definitely a niche game. It's like an old-school tough-as-hell
2D NES game, but with all the technical limitations removed. It's even maybe a little like the games you sketched on notebooks while you were in 3rd grade. If you're 25 like I am.
So, low budget, a little user-unfriendly, but a solid challenge.
Folks are right that a turbo button wouldn't hurt, though. Jamming the attack button 76 times a second when the boss is vulnerable is a little lame. But also a little but adrenaline-pumping. #prinny
All kidding aside, the first game was quite good. The music, in particular, was excellent (see attached for an example). I've always loved Nippon Ichi's use of strings in their soundtracks.
However, despite how good the original was I refuse to ever fight Sir Sweet again. I nearly shattered both my right thumb and my PSP by mashing the circle button as fast as possible. Hand muscles I didn't even know I had were aching for days after that. #prinny
IT'S HARD!!!!
Though an amazing platformer DOOD.
You get 1000 lives, yes, one thousand, and trust me, first playthrough you'll be lucky to finish with less than 10. #prinny

Can't wait for this, either. Here's hoping it won't be as rare as the first one... #prinny
