Gunbird 2 Remix is a remake of the original arcade shooter with all new 2D/3D hybrid graphics. All of the outrageous humor of the original game remains intact, with six playable characters with unique storylines and endings across the board. The game will be hitting the PlayStation Network in North America and Europe in February.

Gunbird 2 is one of PM Studios' first European releases, along with a retooled (read fixed) version of DJ Max Fever hitting the PlayStation Network in Europe and the U.S. in January alongside the European release of Strikers 1945 Plus.

Gunbird is nice, but I've been going through some serious DJ Max withdrawal since I "upgraded" to a PSPgo. Thank goodness the PSN release is only a month away.

DJ Max Fever's Extremely Limited, Ultra-Expensive Edition Fans of Pentavision's DJ Max series are a fiercely loyal bunch, but are they fiercely loyal enough to shell out $130 for the ultra-limited the crew edition of DJ Max Fever for the PSP?

The series might be a bit obscure - I was the only person who pre-ordered a copy of DJ Max Fever at my local GameStop - but the fans truly adore the mix of intense rhythm gameplay, lovely artwork, and quirky Korean music that defines the franchise. As a way of saying thanks to said fans, publisher PM Studios and Pentavision are releasing extremely limited quantities of the DJ Max Fever the crew edition.

So what's in the box?

Folks who order one of the 125 copies going up for pre-order tomorrow will receive the game in a special housing created exclusively by the developer for the US release, the three-disc DJ Max Audio Trinity Soundtrack, a DJ Max Art book, a jigsaw puzzle, a Limited Post Card set, an NB Rangers Mask, a collectable DJ Max Technika IC player card, and a copy of game signed by the developers.

Is all of that worth $130? Ask me tomorrow morning, if I manage to snag a pre-order.

DJ Max Fever Box Art Continues Pretty Streak

As I've stated in the past, I am completely in love with the artwork included in DJ Max Fever, the combination of DJ Max Portable 1 & 2 that brings the popular Korean rhythm game to North America for the first time, courtesy of PM Studios. I have to say the cover art certainly does not disappoint, and neither does the gameplay.

PM Studios were nice enough to send me an early copy of the title and to be perfectly blunt, it's the most fun I've had in my bathroom without...okay, perhaps not as blunt as I planned. Kind of chickened out at the end. I'll just say I can certainly see why this title is so popular. Looking forward to getting my hands on the full version in my bathroom sometime soon.

Of the game. >.<

The Art Of DJ Max Fever Have you ever looked at the artwork and graphics for a game and known right then and there that you had to have it, no matter what the game was about? I didn't know anything about the DJ Max series before publisher PM Studios passed on this collection of artwork for the game. Hell, I had even missed Luke's post announcing that DJ Max Fever, a combination of Korean bestselling music rhythm games DJ Max Portable and DJ Max 2 was coming to the states this November. I suppose I could just download these screens to my PSP and just use them as wallpaper, but what the hell, I'll give the game a chance too.

DJ Max Gets American Release Hey, what's hot with the kids right now? Music games, that's what. Particularly the ones where you hit buttons in time with scrolling cues. It's into this receptive market, then, that PM Studios will be publishing DJ Max Fever, with the Korean fave (Fever is a mix of DJ Max Portable and DJ Max 2) due to receive its first ever American release on November 11. If you're a fan of the series, and have been stuck importing it until now, this is good news! If you've never seen nor heard of it, and the idea of Guitar Hero-but-for-DJs-on-a-PSP sounds great, be warned: it's really, really hard.
