Our helpful tipsters—who moonlight as lucky bastards—have already been notified that they'll be able to participate without having to pre-order Metal Gear Solid 4. Good thing Sony and Konami waited until (most of) the bugs were shaken out before distributing to GAPers. Oh, that's a horrid name for it...

Thanks to Marcus and Ernesto for the heads up.

<![CDATA[Warhawk Beta Invites Out (But Not For You)]]> Sony has been sending out e-mails to its Retail Loyalty Program members soliciting beta testers for Warhawk today. If you didn't get one, you probably don't work in retail and probably aren't registered with the PlayStation Underground.

Hopefully, Sony and Incognito will open up the beta to other PlayStation Undergroud members as it did with Home beta invites for GAP members. We'll let you know.

Thanks, SG!

<![CDATA[PlayStation Home Beta Invites Going Out]]> Sony Computer Entertainment America has begun the beta invite process for their upcoming Home software, announced at GDC and due to launch later this year. PlayStation Underground members have been contacting Kotaku to let us know that invitations to sign up for the 3D networked community meeting space are on their way out.

According to the invite, "Home is ramping up for its debut, and we're inviting you to sign up for a very special beta test. Space is extremely limited." SCEA warns that "Not everyone who signs up will be accepted" but if you are, they'll notify you via e-mail.

Now, off I go to frantically refresh my Gmail inbox while I wait for my invite.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in, but know that Kevin U. beat you all to the punch.

<![CDATA[God of War II Fish Costume Revealed]]> Sony Computer Entertainment America and the God of War development team have announced the three winners of their God of War II Alternate Costume Contest.

While garcia2597's darker take on Kratos screams badass, JMCPSX's winning design at right seems... maybe a little tipsy? Regardless, I think the one get-up every God of War II player is looking forward to unlocking is PlayStation Underground member chickenmeister's Cod of War (*giggle*) fish costume, complete with alternate hook weapons. Sheer brilliance!

Have we finally reached the zenith of PS2 gaming when a man in a fish costume will engage in off-screen "sex" with a pair of nubile, D-cupped concubines? Answer: duh!

<![CDATA[Every Girl Crazy 'Bout A Sharp Dressed God]]>

Sony's Playstation Underground recently took submissions from it's members for their "God of War II Alternate Costume Contest". While it may be too late for you to submit you Bob Mackie inspired, Swarovski crystal encrusted tunic for Kratos, you can still have a hand at picking the winner.

Out of the sixteen entries, most are pretty run of the mill with a few standout exceptions and some are thrown in for obvious comic effect. Just for the hell of it, I hope one of the comic ones wins. Watching Kratos run around in a giant misshapen fish costume or Michael Jackson's red leather Thriller outfit would be totally worth it.

You must be a member of Playstation Underground to participate in the vote, but it only takes a minute to sign up and the fish costume is worth it, trust me.

<![CDATA[Rogue Galaxy Demo Includes Sweet Booty]]>

Kotakuite Rafael wrote in to let us know about the cool bonuses included with his copy of the Rogue Galaxy demo. Not only did he get a relatively cool promo poster, but a sweet pirate flag! Who cares how the game turns out, that flag is bad ass.

Someday, I'm going to get off my lazy butt and join the PlayStation Underground. Unfortunately, the only time I ever give it a second thought is when someone else is basking in the rewards of being directly marketed to. Sigh. I'll forget about it a few minutes, anyway.

Thanks for the photos, Rafael!
