I've been to the Village Halloween Parade every year, it's the weirdest parade in any state. I hate to be risque? but last year had me posing with numerous scantily dressed individuals including a large penis :( (not my idea), he just got next to me and my girlfriend took the picture out of evil spite.
But the parade is enjoyable, I don't go every year for nothing. I'll represent Kotaku. :P
I fit everything there... but I'm a huge Lit nerd. And history nerd. And psychology nerd. And a bit of a language nerd. Pretty much anything academic outside of high school math. And I live with my mother post-18. Perhaps I'm just lucky?
Flimshaw. Even aside from all of that, I'm still extremely fortunate.
@DranzerKire: The privacy process they use is detailed in their blog post. Some kind of word-scanning program with all personal information (user name, timestamps, etc) stripped out. They claim that humans never saw more than five words in a row.
Hi AJ, how's it going? I find your profile pretty much fascinating. You mention zombies. I play video games with vegetarian zombies in them. I am an atheist and I apologize.
I talk about zombies, I like reading but don't define myself as a literature nerd, i don't netspeak and I'm atheist n rather apologetic (though not about being an atheist)
But I'm single... :(
@PegasusActual: Easy there Mr Thinks I'm Talking About Me Personally.
Excuse me, but I find the follow up on gaming dating ironic given the very public knowledge of AJ's recent breakup (and yes, I do know this much about other Kotaku writers).
@adaorardor: and I'm not an aethist (more of a humanist with a "who really knows so I'll hedge my bets" attitude towards God)... so I guess I'm screwed... or not screwed ever as the case may be...
I AM self effacing, though, and I don't mention video games, so maybe that brings me back to almost even...
OKCupid is as cool as this survey makes it sound. It's totally free, incredibly well-designed, and way less creepy/sleazy than any other dating site.
I am curious about how it attracts users... I've never seen any ads for it, so it might be content to attract an audience by word of mouth in places like this.
@Scottaholic: if i remember correctly, the people who run (or at least started) okcupid used to have another site called thespark.com, which was a sort of proto-blog that had contests and personality tests and all kinds of crap. it was the funniest thing to ever happen to the internet, and it is missed.
@adaorardor: Oh yeah, I remember! I think that fueled the first big push of users. They use an optional Spark-y test to establish your dating personality, like "One-Night Stand" or "Window Shopper."

I think there are roughly 500,000 readers on here that would be more than happy to take you out ;)
