Penny Arcade Expo continues to chug along, mixing friends, family and gaming into one big, happy party. The weekend has seen some amazing panels, some neat music, plenty of fans and more games than you could play in three days perusing the impressive exhibit hall.

Sony, Whatcha Showin At PAX?

This! All of this stuff. Most of it playable, some of it playable only by Sony types. Point is, it's all of Sony's stuff, and if you're heading on up to PAX, you may as well know what you're getting yourself in for. The biggest draw will probably be playable Resistance 2 multiplayer, though MotorStorm 2 and SOCOM Confrontation should also be a hit with the kids. Click through for the full lineup.

Rock Band 2 Lead Designer Calls Us Out

Harmonix's Dan Teasdale wants to make sure that folks attend the "History of Harmonix" panel at PAX this weekend so badly that he's narrowly avoided calling down a world of hurt upon himself in the process. He's issued challenges to various members of the media, the development community, and his game's chief rivals in an attempt to drum up some attendance.

I challenge Kotaku's Mike Fahey, Wired's Chris Kohler, and Destructoid's Nick Chester to an arm wrestle. Mike is allowed to substitute for Cresente if he can't make it, but in that case I'm allowed to take my elbow off the table and Brian isn't - Crescente looks like he works out, so I need any advantage I can get.

Obviously Mr. Teasdale has never seen a group shot of the Kotaku crew, or he'd know exactly how relieved he should be that Crecente is attending PAX and not me. Not only am I huge, but I own a copy of "Over The Top" on DVD. Jumpgate Evolution Playable at PAX

Upcoming space massively multiplayer online game Jumpgate Evolution is getting its coming out party at this year's Penny Arcade Expo, NetDevil announced today.

The game will be fully playable at the show on Alienware laptops.

“We are ecstatic that NetDevil will be taking Jumpgate to this year’s Penny Arcade Expo. This is an amazing opportunity for visitors to come and try the game still early in its development. We look forward to the game’s showcase at the event and look forward to the hearing the players’ feedback first-hand. We know they will love it!” said Edward Relf, Director, Marketing, Codemasters Online.

I'd be sure to check it out when I'm there. I can't wait to see how much it has improved since my last time with it.
