that looks rather awesome, though I'm a little dubious of the ethernet positioning... would have had it further away from the screen or to the side or something (and probably integrated the wireless adapter) if I were (capable of) designing it myself, but still, very cool!

@shatteredhalo: It's barely a joke. Complete hardware failures would make buying something like this very risky. You can't ship this thing to Microsoft and have them fix it.
@RyderJ: Understandable, but MS aren't selling *this*. This is just a sweet mod is all, and instead of admiring the craftsmanship, someone's gotta dump all over it with an RRoD joke. Just gets annoying after a while.

@shatteredhalo: I don't think the "jokes" are annoying, but people using "RROD" is still strange to me. Red Ring of Death is such a dumb term, especially when there isn't a full ring of lights.
3RL - Three Red Lights, like IGN says, is alright, but when I see "RROD" I just think anyone who types that is a moron or an everyday sheep.
@Dead Giveaway: They're the same freaking thing. 3RL is just implying it didn't fully red ring. If people had started saying 4RL you would be saying Red Ring is the only acceptable term. Quit being oversensative. "Waggle" and "PS3 has no games" were stupid too, but you don't see people whining about them anymore. RROD is still a valid concern and the a reason many people, myself included, are hesitant to buy the console.
@shatteredhalo: Which is why it would suck to buy this, and then have it RROD. Where's the joke? In all actuality, the RROD problem is why I wouldn't buy something like this (well, among other reasons).
It's a console that's prone to failure, in a warranty-expiring mod, which doesn't look like it has alot of airflow anyway, and is built to move around alot. I'd be really, really surprised if this didn't one day RROD. Well okay, I'd be surprised if any 360 didn't eventually RROD but you get the gist.
By the way, if I sound bitter it's because my launch 360 (well, the 3rd one since then) is now out of warranty. It's obviously not one of those magical new ones that apparently (yeah right) don't break as much.
@TeenIcarus: Technically they both mean the same thing, a hardware failure, but there isn't a full ring of red lights. 3 Red Lights is proper. RROD is just another internet term that got blown out of proportion. Just check out the song that the folks at G4 did, if that's not proof enough, I don't know what is.
And being hesitant on getting a 360 on a chance that you will have to send it away, for about a week, free of charge, is just stupid, unless you don't enjoy the games on the console.
Every gamer I've known for over 2 decades all have the 360 and play it all the time, not one of them acts like a scared kid when they turn it on.
@Dead Giveaway: it wasnt blown out of proportion though. even if it has made it's way into meme territory, the fact is that it still happens as much as ever. and with the past defense comments made about the ps3 "no games" and the wii "waggle", they arent nearly as valid anymore, seeing as that the ps3 has a good amount of great games and the wii moving into a more diverse type of gaming(sorta) the RRoD is still the only one that fully applies nowadays. it's not even a joke, it's the truth. and it's funny because it's true.

In before is a bannable offense, so watch yourself. By the way, your comment wasn't funny.
