    I'll probably buy a copy for the sheer act of supporting PC gaming and Capcom's recent dedication to it, while actually playing the console version more. Simply because more people I know own it.

    @Atheist Jew: Not a bad idea. I really like the way Capcom is really putting a lot of focus on making games for the PC lately. More than I can say for most game companies.

    @ReconToaster.: Like Vista, I have less issues with GFWL now then I did at their respective launches. I now have no problem with GFWL for the most part. Gears was a sore spot for sure, and there have been other hiccups, but nothing to stop me from buying a game. Plus it's free, and I like the way it saves my Achievements.

    @stupid_mcgee: uber pyro > zerg rush: Epic has all their Unreal games on Steam. They don't have Gears of War on it but that's because Microsoft is the publisher.

    @Narishma: His point being, Epic has not looked after it's PC audience and has generally fucked us over with shit ports, bringing them a year later on top of that. So I guess they are a day late and a dollar short as it were.

    Game pads (controllers) have been available for PCs even before consoles existed.


    And you can use a PS3 controller or 360 one on the PC. They even make arcade sticks.

    @n00b_pwner: It is so infinitely depressing to CONSTANTLY read posts from people who are so ignorant of PC gaming. I just don't understand why you people have your heads up your ass for PC games but claim to know everything there is to know about consoles.


    You've been able to use controllers on PC since, I would wager, before you were born. Here is a list of all the controllers just I personally have used on a PC that you may or may not be familiar with:


    - Gravis Gamepad
    - MS Sidewinder
    - Super Nintendo
    - N64
    - PS1
    - PS2
    - PS3
    - Xbox 360


    All of them. Easily. With any damn game I want. I just cannot fathom how so many people totally dismiss PC gaming when they know NOTHING about it.

    @Matt0505: All I was saying is that fighting games on PC isn't the best match. It's like sticking an RTS to a console. Not going to work.

    You can easily buy any game pad to play the game on PC, with absolutely no differences in control, from their console counterpart. I fail to see how exactly it isn't going to work?


    Also, as far as I know, no console RTS will allow you to use mouse and keyboard, so that comparison doesn't really work.

    @Paradox me: The PS3 supports M/KB controls for games. So, yes, an RTS on the PS3 could run using M/KB.

    Only the fact is, they dont make RTS games on the PS3 using KB and Mouse.


    They have Red Alert, but refuse to add that control scheme to the game due to imbalance online for those with controllers.

    @Sir-Lucius: True. The imbalance is pretty obvious. However, that's laziness on the part of the devs. Make it so that only KB/M can play KB/M and only controller can play controller. It's like all of the people whining about the unfairness of PC cross platform games. Just make it so that the only way to play against 360 players is if you are using a controller. Sure, people will hack it, people hack all sorts of stuff. People hack regular console games now.

    @Zimmbous: Yeah, I'm not really a PC gamer so my PC hasn't been upgraded in like, 2 years, but it still fulfills the recommended specs, except for the OS being Vista.

    @firefly: I don't get why they say Vista when DirectX 9 is all that the game is going to use. XP should be fine for "maximum" specs.

    @Mearns: Well, that's a $49.00 video card listed with the maximum specs, so less than a console game for that alone. I wouldn't recommend going lower than a GeForce 8800 though, if you want to play more than Street Fighter.
