    Since Kojima himself said he would never let someone like Uwe Boll touch MGS, I don't think Anderson has any chances to get his paws on it either.

    Besides, I honestly have no interest whatsoever in finding out how he would ''adapt'' the plot so that he could make his wife the main character.. #videogamemovies

    @GE128: My memory could be wrong, or I could've read a bad translation, but I'm fairly sure it was saying specifically that Uwe Boll would never touch MGS.

    Now if that's exactly what Kojima originally said/meant, I have no idea.
    I just know that's what I remember reading. #videogamemovies

    And even then, I'm still only for the MGS movie.

    @Str8_Jihadin: im pretty sure kojima has said outright what movies he did take from, and i don't think terminator was one of them.

    i also like cameron, but he'd never do it. he is the greatest sci-fi director of all time though. #videogamemovies

    The cover art for Snake on the original NES Metal Gear was based on Kyle Reese.

    The character was based more on Snake from John Carpenter's "Escape from New York."

    Does this mean that Carpenter should do it? Oh, god, no. No, no, a thousand times no.

    Kojima should direct, and if not him, well...

    To be honest, I think video game movie adaptations are a bad idea, period. I can't imagine ANY director making MGS anything but a ridiculous, awful charicature of itself on the big screen. The history of game movies supports me here. #videogamemovies

    The only person I want adapting the Metal Gear Solid games into Films, is Hideo Kojima and David Hayter. I don't care what's been said on record, David Hayter HAS to be involved. He pretty much helps make the whole thing come alive, even when I play METAL GEAR, I can imagine his voice saying what Snake is "texting" xD #videogamemovies

    I want a MGS movie but the last person i want touching that is Paul Anderson.

    After the junk he pulled with Resident Evil with that alice character. He would somehow manage to make the MGS movie where Solid snake isn't even a main character probably not even raiden either #videogamemovies

    Judging by past experience, this means he doesn't really want to make a Castlevania film (or an MGS one) - he wants to make more vehicles for his own ideas that otherwise wouldn't see the light of day, masquerading as a licensed property.
    Resident Evil was just an excuse for the "My wife as a psychic super kung fu soldier" film he was gagging to make. #videogamemovies

    @Pombar: Pretty much exactly my thoughts. He has no respect for the Resident Evil series at all and I wouldn't be surprised if he's never even played any of the games in the first place.

    The only reason Wesker cameoed in the third movie at all was because Capcom and Sony Pictures MADE him put the character in as a bit of hype for RE5. #videogamemovies

    @Pombar: I agree, personaly, i like RE movies if I ignoreALL Resident Evil references, which means I only love watching Milla kicking some ass.

    Can you blame him? Milla is the Reigning Queen of Kick-Ass, wouldn't you do the same? I would.

    @Archaotic: I agree. I'm sure he never played any RE games, the movies don't have that suspense the game does, it's only action (which MIGHT be good for a Castlevania movie, but will totally suck on MGS)

    I hope any of those 2 movies are ever ever ever ever made.

    @cape33: @ara: Yeah, the first two films are fairly enjoyable nonetheless, and certainly after a while RE itself started not to have much going for it in the story department. But if he really wanted to make a film about his psychic wife, he should've just gone ahead and done it, instead of hiding it behind the veneer of a Resident Evil film.
    So if he's just going to do the same with other game licenses, I'd prefer if he just made the films he clearly actually wants to make. #videogamemovies

    @Gortexfogg: On that note, I dont think a 2 hour movie's enough to condense MGS. Much less the whole MG/S Saga. A 10 episode series like the Band of Brothers, might be better IMO. #videogamemovies
