PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood players might want to give online multiplayer another go today, as the latest patch brings a handful of important class balance changes to the Western shooter. Along with a fix to lower checkpoint loading times on the PS3, the Spy, Gunslinger, Hombre, Veteran and Sniper classes have all received tweaks in order to "offer the best experiences possible."

The Spy class gets a damage and health increase, while the Gunslinger scores reduced recoil and improved accuracy. The other three classes receive nerfs. The Hombre loses long range damage and gains extra recoil and reload time; the Veteran loses health, accuracy, and addition pistols; and the Sniper loses no-scope accuracy, damage, and health.

Seems like some significant changes there. Has anyone out there played Bound in Blood long enough to notice the difference?

<![CDATA[World Of Warcraft Patches To 3.2]]> Blizzard upgrades World of Warcraft to version 3.2 today, implementing the Crusaders' Coliseum dungeons, PVP experience, level 20 mounts, Druid form changes, Rogue axe-wielding, and far fewer embarrassing raid looting situations.

3.2 is a huge patch, with changes to nearly every aspect of the game. Raiding guilds have several new places to play, while the more casual player will enjoy the ability to mount up at level 20, which does away with 10 levels of slogging through Hillsbrad or Darkshire, depending on your leveling preference. The addition of PVP experiences should make battleground fans extremely happy, while those who'd rather sit around being a twinked-out level 19 bad ass have the option of turning PVP experience off completely.

One of the most welcome changes is the new rules for bind-on-pickup during dungeons and raids. Any bind-on-pickup item can now be traded to another member of your party or raid ground for up to two hours after it is looted, meaning that "oh damn, my cat stepped on my keyboard and looted that!" is no longer a valid ninja-looting ploy.

Oh, and rogues can now use one-handed axes, which should make hunters hate them even more than they already do.

World of Warcraft is something different to each player, so there is no way I could possibly mention all of the important changes in this post. Check out the link to the public test realm patch notes to get a better idea of what exactly is going on in patch 3.2.

<![CDATA[World Of Warcraft Equipment Manager Patched In]]> The introduction of the long-awaited Equipment Manager feature in today's patch 3.1.2 makes playing World of Warcraft even easier, if that's possible.

Originally scheduled to be released alongside patch 3.1's dual talent specs, the Equipment Manager is one of those features that World of Warcraft players have using add-ons to take care of for years. It allows players to save multiple sets of equipment, swapping them out on the fly with the click of a button. The equipment in question must be in the character's inventory, though it can also be pulled from the bank if you've got the bank interface open. Combined with the ability to swap out talent specs, it should make playing a class that can fill multiple roles much less of a hassle.

The rest of patch 3.1.2 consists of a few class changes, a few item tweaks, and some bug fixing. Check out the full patch notes as soon as they show up on the official World of Warcraft page.

<![CDATA[World Of Warcraft Patch 3.1 Reveals The Secrets Of Ulduar]]> New dungeons, dual talent specializations, user interface improvements, and much more arrive today with The Secrets of Ulduar, patch 3.1 for World of Warcraft.

Though it snags top billing, the massive dungeon of Ulduar is just the tip of the iceberg in patch 3.1. The patch sees the implementation of a relatively expensive but extremely convenient dual specialization system, allowing players to change their role on the fly. Fury warriors become protection warriors; frost mages become fire mages; and overpowered warlocks become even more overpowered warlocks with the click of a button.

The Argent Tournament in Sindragosa's Fall challenges players to triumph in various tests of skill in order to win the favor of the Argent Crusade. An improved quest tracking system is finally put in place. Ground mounts can swim!

For a full list of changes, check out the official patch 3.1 preview on the World of Warcraft website. For an extremely overdramatic trailer featuring several Warcraft superstars, press play below.

<![CDATA[PotBS Avatar Combat Updated For The New Year]]> Flying Lab's MMO Pirates of the Burning Sea sails into the new year with the release of the highly anticipated build 1.11: The Clash Of Steel, which completely revamps avatar combat.

While ship-to-ship combat in Pirates of the Burning Sea has been well-received by players since launch, the avatar combat, which sees players taken on enemies with swords and guns, has been a bit of a mixed bag. Build 1.11, which went live yesterday morning, completely overhauls the system, adding new skills and skill categories plus new combat animations to keep things interesting.

To help ease the jarring transition, the PotBS folks have posted a rather lovely Swashbuckling guide that explains the nuances of the overhauled system. It seems like they've made it an entirely new experience, to the point where I'm considering popping back in just to see how things have turned out.

<![CDATA[Fallout 3 PS3 Patch Adds Trophies, Subtracts Bugs]]> Version 1.1 of Fallout 3 for the PlayStation 3 is live in North America and the UK, adding in trophy support, fixing in-game notifications, and generally making post-apocalyptic DC a nicer place to live.

Players in North America and the United Kingdom who start up Fallout 3 today will be required to download a 24MB patch, but it will be well worth their time. The 1.1 patch adds 51 trophies to the game - 38 bronze, 10 silver, 2 gold, and one platinum - gained for anything from completing quests to that old platinum standby, earning all the other trophies. Along with trophies, the patch also fixes the issues with the in-game notification pausing gameplay, the GOAT freeze bug, and various other issues that have been plaguing PS3 players since the game's release.

The patch is currently only available for the English language versions of the game, but is in the works for other regions. For your reading enjoyment, we've included a list of the new trophies below. Enjoy!

<![CDATA[Warhammer Online 1.1 Goes Live Today]]> Mythic's Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning sees it's first major content update today with patch 1.1, delivering new tanks, player statues, and a host of new improvements that just plain make the game better.

Servers have gone down this morning for the application of patch 1.1, which should be live as the servers come back online by or before 1PM Eastern time. Along with the previously mentioned player statues and the introduction of tank classes for Order and Dark Elf races, the patch also brings several mechanic additions and improvements that should make things go a bit more smoothly for players. The addition of a Main Assist mechanic should make sticking to your tank's target much easier, while the addition of one easy mode Player Quest in each chapter of tier one so solo players don't have to rely on playing well with others. Perhaps of the most interest to me is the addition of Influence rewards in open RVR areas, which just so happen to be my favorite places to be. Hit the link for the full details on patch 1.1, or just log on around 1PM and see for yourself.

<![CDATA[Blizzard Unleashes Fury Of The Sunwell]]> This morning I clicked on my World of Warcraft icon and was greeted with the impending download of the highly anticipated 2.4 patch, Fury of the Sunwell. The patch introduces us to Sunwell Isle, a brand new quest hub complete with new 5-man dungeons and a 25-man raid that gives players a chance to finally kick Kil'jaeden's sorry ass. As with any major WoW update, the patch notes are large and wordy, filled with stuff that only certain classes and professions will care about, so I'll just toss you a link to WorldofWar.net's note posting at the bottom of the article. Aside from the new dungeons, the most exciting thing I can see is learned spells not being reset with respecs, meaning that mages no longer have to rebuy their perk spell levels in addition to the cost of a respec. This pleases me. I'm sure this affects other casters as well, but they don't count.

<![CDATA[WoW Patches To 2.3, Fixes Dustwallow]]> World of Warcraft players rejoice - Dustwallow Marsh doesn't suck as much anymore! Oh sure, you might be more excited about the other changes going live today with patch 2.3, such as the introduction of guild banks so we can free up those bank character slots, or the new 10-man level 70 dungeon of Zul'Aman in the Ghostlands. They've made it easier to level from 20 to 60, which makes no sense whatsoever. My 70 warrior roommate informs me that Warrior DPS got a significant boost in this patch as well, meaning I won't be seeing her for a few weeks. Tons of sweeping changes across all classes abound, but I am most excited about Dustwallow. Man that place sucked. You had the witch's hut, Onyxia, and the dragon for the UBRS key quest, and that was pretty much it. Now there's a new Goblin town and over 50 new quests in the area. Could it be time for me to restart my subscription again?
