Well, since we're being all picky about spelling and shit, I'll point out that it is House of CommonS. :p

That's the Queen's English you're sighing at, Mr.Good. Now do what's...good for you and learn how to spell armour and honour. As well as pout, like you youngsters like to do.

What kind of looney country spells recognise with a 'Z'?@ShadowOdin, representing the people of Malmö, Sweden: So a sulky look in Yankee land is caled a 'pot'? The more you know, eh.

@Jackablade: I'm pretty sure that the 'z' spellings in words like civilization are acceptable in UK English, but not widely used. Also I think ShadowOdin was joking, in America we spell pout the same way every other English speaking nation does.

It's nice to see the British government holding out a helping hand to the industry. As the largest entertainment industry in the world, countries with large video game sectors should be supporting their local developers through this decline.

Proper English, in UK-land, calls for 'I-S' words to be spelled 'I-Z,' so really, no harm no foul Mr. Good.

At the least, that was how I was taught, and my English teacher was no slouch. Although, in higher education it's often caused debate; my narrative in fiction lecturer claimed not to care, and said most writing authorities won't mind how it's spelled, proving you're consistent with the use of 'S,' or 'Z.'

As an aside, though, 'Herb' most definitely has an 'H' which should be pronounced.

@Adnoz: Why settle for bastardized? We should all be speaking Middle English, dammit! Wait, no, screw the vowel shift. We should all be speaking Old English! Wait, no, that's just a mixture of dialects. Screw vernacular, then, we should all be speaking Latin! Wait, no, that's just a descendant, it's no better than Sanskrit (though bitches do love Sanskrit). We should all be speaking Proto-Indo-European!

That's as far back as my Linguistics 100 class takes me, though, so I say we stop there.
