Really? A Halo MMO? Can any of you honestly, truly, look me in my comment box and say it think that this could end up as anything less than mediocre? Just like Halo itself?

@AgentMonkfish: You know what, I agree with you up to the "Like Halo itself?" comment. That just comes off as trolling.

You can spin it anyway you want, but Halo was revolutionary for the console FPS. "Oh, what about Doom? Goldeneye?" Sure, they got a loyal fanbase, but it was only after Halo came out that the market for console shooters exploded. I can assure you that had Halo never come out, or something that performed similar to it, we would not have had games like Left 4 Dead on consoles.

And sure it is clichéd, but to call it mediocre seems a bit harsh. It's story is just a hodgepodge of all known sci-fi, and it's main character is an empty shell, but it's damn fun to play, and millions of people can't be wrong.

Basically, a lot of smart and respected people disagree with you.

As soon as game companies realize the futility of trying to defeat WOW and just accept that they need to find a different niche,the better they will be. All that money to try to get to Blizzards level is a waste. Just try to be a money making enterprise with your own little idea of the MMO space and settle for that.
