Ignition sure does up a nice video game website. I loved what they did for The King of Fighters XII, and the Muramasa: The Demon Blade website is just as robust and full-featured, if a bit coming-soonish. Fans of the art style of the game will find plenty of screens and wallpapers to download, print, and paste on their bedroom walls, and there is plenty of video to watch, including the clips they've embedded in the interactive map of the game world, which they will be slowly filling in as the release date approaches.

There's even a fan art page where you can upload your own creations for a chance at winning $1,000 and having your work publicized. Contest entries cannot contain nudity or obscenity, however, so keep that junk over at Deviant.

<![CDATA[Vampire Rain: Altered Species Website More Fun Than Actual Game]]> In a situation like the re-release of an enhanced version of the original dismal failure Vampire Rain for the PlayStation 3 it might have been wise for Ignition Entertainment to pull back a bit on creating the marketing website for the game. As it stands, I've had more fun hunting the undead on the new website for Vampire Rain: Altered Species than I did throughout the whole of the original game.

The website features new trailers, screenshots, character bios, wallpapers, and a nifty night scope mechanic that has you hunting down seven vampires to gain access to the hints and tips section of the site. Perhaps they should just release this for the PS3?

<![CDATA[Official Japanese Beautiful Katamari Site Rolls Into Your Life]]>

Nothing spells Sunday morning excitement quite like Official Beautiful Katamari Website. Namco/Bandai have snuck into the internets sometime in the wee hours and left us a lovely colorful present. Of course, it's all in Japanese so m ost of us will not be able to read it, but I was able to at least Babel Fish it enough to figure out that there is no release date set for either the PS3 or 360 versions and that it's Genre is being listed as Romance and Beauty.

Poking around a little I was able to discover some screenshots and the announcement of a new Royal Cousin who's name I was unable to translate. You have probably seen him in the screenshots we posted a few days ago, but his picture on the website contains a certain video game icon that you just might recognize.

Make the jump to check out the new cousin in all his glory!

I'm sure one of you out there will be able to translate his name in a matter of seconds, so be sure to let us know what it is!

[Thanks, Vix]

<![CDATA[God of War II Website Launches]]>

Can't get enough of that irascible man-god, Kratos? Well then, my friends, step right up to the newly launched God of War II website. It features trailers, screenshots and concept art and although we've already seen most of this (and a lot more) there are still some surprises waiting for you here and there. The site itself is very nicely put together, although the lack of Linda Hunt is alarming. Knowing that I will once again be able to hear her euphonious voice is the one thought that will keep me going until the game is finally released next month. That, and the fish costume.

<![CDATA[New Bioshock Website Hits The Intertubes]]>

As I mentioned last week when I posted the new trailer, Bioshock is one of the games I am most looking forward to in 2007. To further suck me in, the official Bioshock website has opened it's doors. The flash site is really well done with a great style befitting the creepy 1940's/50's underwater city atmosphere of the game. There's not a whole lot up there at the moment that we haven't already seen, but there are a few new screens and a picture tour of two of the games areas. There are several sections bearing the "coming soon" label including weapons and plasmids which I'm anxious to see. If you haven't already seen all the screens and vids or you just want to see a really cool site, go check it out!
