@Epsicode: The Gwen Alter figure is great, but this one actually looks like it represents Jouji Kamitani's character designs better than the Gwen figure.
I thought the Gwen figure was a must-buy. I was wrong. If any Odin Sphere figure is a must-buy, it's this Velvet figure.
@WiNg0o: Yes, nice point.
One of the main things I love in japanese figures is that they usually comes in poses you don't usually see in toys/collectible toys/action figures... face expressions is another detail I love, when the figure creator gets it right.
Dude you're talking about a two year old PS2 game that never sold well over here in the first place. I'm pretty sure Atlus has higher priorities than making making new content for this game and re-releasing it.
@Xelmon: Not all of them, but overall, most japanese figures are way more detailed than action figures, collectible toys, or whatever we have on this side of the planet.
With some few (and usually very expensive) exceptions, of course.
I have this game all nice and wrapped up in it's plastic wrap, brand new, having not played it, ever. Yet. It's been there for several months. I've just had too much on the list ahead of it.
@Winterbringer: This is a pretty faithful representation of Mercedes, she really looks that young in the game as well, I think it's TOTALLY appropriate
@Godseye: Well thank you guys *phew* You just saved me the embarrassment of posting a tirade about how the site had no morals for posting a picture of an underage looking character who'd gone through something so tragic as vasectomy ;_;

beatmania IIDX Empress Konamistyle Complete Edition for PS2 hits at the same time for 250 USD.
I may have to make an important decision, here.

The pointy things on this figure shall pierce through the heavens!

Hershey's Kisses
Dragon Quest Slimes.
What do they all have in common?

I'm very tempted to buy it as well as the Gwendolyn one made by Alter...

game did well enough to gain greatest hits status, and thats what, at least a half million copies?
That better then a lot of games like this have done.

Then I get past that in a few moments, and all I have to say is Shit, look at that Detail.
Are all figures this detailed, because that is incredible.

But the gameplay was honestly annoying and having each area a big effing circle was just stupid.
I honestly feel like the only person who seems to dislike 90% of this game =/

But I sure as hell wish I played Odin Sphere.
Frog+Butterflywing+crossbow(?) = win
