You know, when we in Europe cry about wanting equal handling of the PSN-stores, THIS is not what we mean.
We actually want them to be released on all marketplaces at all times, not just karmic retribution.
What is the hardship anyway? It's not like they should have to worry about distributors.
*sigh* Really, whenever problems like these arise you still feel that even if digital distribution is the future, the archaic business-methods they are using by treating the internet like they are different regions really is something they'll need to figure out.
@Antiterra: I would but I don't have a gaming PC and I'm not a PC gamer. I wish all PSN games have free trials like all XBLA and Indie Games. Plus the PS3 controls are obvious different from PC controls, so it's always better having a demo for the preferred system.
Pre-ordered on Steam a few days ago, and just finished installing it now. The demo was literally the most fun I've had in a game in 2009. Absolutely worth $30 for me.
I'd bite, if i wasn't holding out for the slim hope that it might come to XBLA as well at some point in the future. I must say, all the videos of Trine have looked fantastic. Shame about the price on Steam.
Why is there not a XBLA version?!! These people have clearly shown they like money so what gives? It's not like Sony's paying them to make it a PS3-PC exclusive :(
@okenny :) ...building bridges (to hide under): Aw come on, XBLA is getting plenty of great downloadable games exclusive to their console this summer. Let the PS3 owners have something to call their own.
@Everard: I'll gladly give up hallmarks like Bomberman Act Zero (a game so good, it got a full retail release) and perhaps the holy grail called Yaris. You don't want crappy games like Monkey Island and the likes! >_>
Never heard of this game until now, but that screenie looked pretty, so I grabbed the demo. Very glad I did, this is just fantastic! Praise Fahey for bringing it to my attention!
This is great news for me. Trine is a system seller to me, but the news of a PC version mean I can hold out for a future PS3 price drop. I think it looks amazing, and the couple of puzzles I've seen made it look like an interesting and fun platformer which are all too rare of late. I really hope Braid, this, and Shadow Complex are the start of a trend back toward 2-D gameplay.
@Kobun: Me too, after playing the demo I would say that this is the next Braid. It may not be as artistically pleasing as Braid, but both games are fine proof that a game does not need celebrity voices and a multi-million dollar budget to be just awesome.
Hell, I would go so far as to say that I had more fun playing this demo than in any other game this year, and there have been some pretty damn good games this year.
