They're both fine game systems. They will both last for a few more years. And they both have a nice selection of games. This loyalty to some giant corporation that doesn't give a damn about you is quite lame.

MGS4 best game of this gen? Ahahahah, oh god that's a good one. You Metal Gear fanboys need to stfu about this goddamn game. MGS4 is the most ridiculously overrated game of this generation. No, im not saying it's bad, however it doesn't deserve all the praise it got, for the simple reason its a game for fan of the series.
All the so high reviews and perfect scores are from reviewers who played the other MG before and who are fans of the series. The game just fail to deliver THAT MUCH for those who never played a MG game before, and just for this reason it doesn't deserve the uber scores it got. A game earning so high from critics should be enjoyable to everyone, not only the fans.
A game deserving uber scores should be one which doesn't require having played its predecessor, like say Diablo 2. MGS4 is all about the story (don't get me wrong, I didn't say the gameplay was bad).
Now go for it fanboys, flame like you never flamed before!

I think that's part of the problem. Some people just hate QTEs so much that the game instantly turns them off.
Other people appreciate the fact that said QTEs allow the game to be much more cinematic and badass than it would be otherwise.

Demon's Souls is a game from From Software that doesn't suck. It stands to reason that Ninja Blade could achieve the same status.

Yeah, Demon's Souls is by From as well, but it's by the King's Field team, not the Enchanted Arms/Armored Core team. It's awesome. Seriously, one of the best RPGs I've played this gen, already poured over 40 hours into it. And it hardly even has a story!
I think Ninja Blade is largely being made by the people behind Metal Wolf Chaos, as the main character from MWC cameos in there somewhere. I think that was an offshoot of the Armored Core team from back when Armored Core was good.

Props for the Yahtzee reference. Seriously, QTEs aren't by definition bad. It's when they're implemented badly (like in, say, Jericho) that they suck.

One thing I really like about it is the sprint mechanic. More games like this need to have some sort of high-speed run; DMC4 kinda had it, but Ninja Gaiden didn't and neither did God of War 1 or 2. You know it's bad when it's quicker to travel around by jumping than it is to run.
Also, the Metal Wolf Chaos references in the game make me grin like an idiot. From Software's doing some good work this year, even if it's not AAA megahit quality.

Came out in Japan a few months ago. This is the official US release of the demo.
