    I had to work last year, this year I'll be there for sure. I'll be there regardless but I'm not a fan of Rhythm games can we get a couple fighting games going on the second floor, it's big enough.

    And my post actually stated I have the spare time, that wasnt my problem, my problem is my Missus (partner/girlfriend/fiancee/wife etcetc).

    But I may need to try that other girl line out on my boss haha.

    It sounds awesome, Denver is a bit far from New York City so I'm incapable of attending plus I'm not permitting to fly sadly but I hope to support you guys from over here.

    Many of those "quarter million" beta sign-ups are very likely to be multiple submissions from the same people. I've submitted applications about 5 god damn times to the beta and I've yet to hear word one in regards to an invite, as have several friends of mine, and friends of theirs, etc etc.

    "Quarter-Million" means jack diddly if you don't limit submissions to one per person.

    Same here... guys... no key... with so much competition you would think more would get a beta invite.

    What I am looking forward to:
    Jumpgate Evolution
    Star Wars The Old Republic
    Star Trek MMO
    APB
    Final Fantasy XIV

    Some pretty stiff competition to come. The main thing Jumpgate has is the real time flight action. I can't wait... I tried signing up our whole guild from WOW, but still have not received a beta... like waiting for trillian astra beta from a year ago.

    @Benny: Don't remind me of that Trillian astra beta, you'd have a better chance of getting a PS3 price cut.

    I think the real time flight action makes it unique enough to keep it from being a competiton and more of an alternative.

    Someone said to me that CCP (EVE-Online developers) must be crapping themselves with these numbers - this beta has as many players signed up to it as CCP hit subscribers last year after a 5 year run of EVE.

    I must kindly point out, before anybody makes a similar remark, that the audience for Jumpgate Evolution is obviously a larger collection of people than the audience for EVE. It is natural that more people will be interested.

    The games cannot be compared, so don't even think about trying.

    Personally I have signed up to the Beta for JGE, but remembering how much of a disappointment the first one was... I am on the fence.

    Yeah well age of conan had ridiculous beta numbers and a stupid amount of people that started playing... look how that turned out. Everyone quit in a month. Just cause you have a metric shit ton of people that WANT to play the game doesn't mean the game is good and that it'll translate directly into a loyal fan base. That being said... fuck eve.
